They suck I pay $39 for my phone paid for and it's pay as you go I need my phone unlocked mind you I've been with them probably 2 years or more I have to pay $150 because I had to replace my phone with less than 12 months ago so it's not how long you been with them it's how long your phone has been with them to unlock my phone never again

De-prioritization has become a deal breaker
There was once a golden era of Simple Mobile. That ended at the start of 2021. Data de-prioritization seems to no longer be based on congestion, now it apparently depends on the time of day. From 12am to 7am my data works wonderfully. I've seen 3MB down/7MB up (that's MB, not Mb).
Then, from 7am to 11:59pm, my ping fluctuates between too high, and unusable (it used to be 81ms for my favorite game, now it's 180-750ms). And no, I can't stream at 480p during that time either, despite their claims. YouTube will buffer if I run a video higher than 240p. That's because I'm lucky to get 45KB/s download speed during the day, which is less than 2% of the speeds I get at night.
I know congestion isn't the issue as well. There are less than 50 people with access to my cell tower at any given time, and yet de-prioritization still happens, and still happens like clockwork.
On the Simple Mobile website it states: "If congested, customers may notice reduced speeds vs T-Mobile customers..." The "If congested" portion of that statement is no longer something I experience. I am currently looking for a new provider after almost 3 years of quality service.

I bought service plan by talking to…Live Agent
I bought service plan by talking to live agent, I brought in my device OPPO A9, which agent checked prior to sign up, was told it had to be GSM unlocked phone, which it is. Phone worked for 3 days, Then it did not work (could not use to make calls or receive calls either), talked to live agent and was informed my phone is not compatible. No refund was offered. Will not buy again.

Bait and Switch
Have to admit, the absolute most worthless customer service ever. Even rivaling Concast for bottom of the barrel. Then we can discuss the Bait and Switch fraud Simple Mobile perpetrates with their deceptive advertising on pricing. And finally a rewards program that is more of a penalty than a prize.

Absolutely ZERO customer service
Absolutely ZERO customer service. If you ever have a problem, then it's just your problem. I purchased a plan and phone 2 months ago, I have not made 1 call, because I cannot actually speak to a human to help me solve the problem. At this point I'm giving up and moving on to a company that will help me.

NEVER AGAIN
NEVER AGAIN! I was using Simple Mobile for a year and it was the worst mobilephone experience ever. Internet connection constandly was unavailable, network itself was extremly spotty; additional services I booked were again and again unavailable. The worst thing: When I wanted to cancel my Auto reup, it took my HOURS to do so. I switched to AT&T - which changed my experience completly.

Horrible
Horrible. They charged me for 3 months are I cancelled my service. I emailed after the first charge and never heard back and they continued to charge my account. When I called, they said they couldn't issue any refund because they had no record of the cancellation but also couldn't provide a record for cancelling my service at that time either!! It made no sense!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Customer service is HORRIBLE!!

Avoid Simple Mobile BYOP sim card & services
Avoid Simple Mobile BYOP sim card & services!
My wife and I were in the states for vacation this past Oct & Nov. and I purchased two simple mobile BYOP sim cards and data plans from Best Buy. It was nothing short of a complete disaster. We NEVER had good cell service and that was anywhere we went. Even though the northeast should have pretty good coverage, we rarely had a good signal in eastern MA. Then as we traveled out west (AZ,CO) and in the south (TN), I never got any service to speak of and when I did it was only for a brief moment. We did not get a good signal anywhere.
What's worse is that I have a dual SIM phone and our European carrier also runs on the same T-mobile network as Simple Mobile, so both SIM cards were running in my phone simultaneously. The entire time when the simple mobile signal was dropping out, low signaling, or most of the time just being bitterly slow, the other signal for my European sim card was strong and steady, sending and receiving with barely any interruptions. Unfortunately, I could not use that sim without running up high roaming costs at international rates. This comparison between the two sims was a constant reminder of how bad the Simple Mobile service was for us.
Additionally, the setup was cumbersome and unclear; one of the numbers was not available, but the support person had already activated my data plan with that number and didn't refund me but told me to purchase an additional data plan and load it. Then their automated chat support is woeful.
Avoid Simple Mobile like the plague and pay a bit more for a service from one of the main telecom companies. It will no doubt cost more, but it may save you a lot of heartache and frustration on your vacation.
