The wait time in the lobby at Denison, TX is unacceptable. If you are here to do anything other than a simple teller transaction be prepared to wait an hour or longer. Came to the lobby 1:55, it is now 3:00 p.m. Where is the efficiency, professionalism, organization at for this branch?

Horrible service, huge errors on their end, incredibly slow to process anything. Basically, an unreliable and completely incompetent bank. Their errors are tanking my credit rating and they don't care at all or respond.

The actual rating of "0" was not an option. A few days before Christmas, I had a long-standing checking account (5007658) that I had opened with Metropolitan Bank over 20 years ago closed, and money was taken out of my other checking account, which has caused me a lot of financial problems. This was done because I was two days late in completing the fresh start agreement/repayment plan on the account, which would have allowed me to pay the $919 negative balance back over a 12-month period, something I have done many times with no problems. Each year, I would use my overdraft privileges in December on the now-closed account to help buy Christmas presents for my children and grandchildren. However, this past year, I had to use the overdraft in November due to a major car repair issue. I was late by two days in completing the fresh start agreement to pay off my overdraft account. Simmons chose to enact their 'right to set off' by taking money out of my other Simmons Bank account, creating an overdraft. This money was designated for bills, medication, doctor bills, etc. Never did I intend to let this happen. My history with the bank and that account speaks for itself. I simply misjudged the 60 days allowed to complete the fresh start agreement by using the overdraft in November instead of December. Additionally, my primary account had been compromised on December 21 with fraudulent activity, I was sick, and there was a family death. I was simply late getting to the bank. In fact, I went to the bank on December 24 to complete the fresh start agreement, but the manager I needed to speak with was working at another branch that day, and therefore I decided to come back the day after Christmas. I was not aware that December 23 was the 60th day, but had I completed the paperwork on December 24, I could have had the pending closure reversed. I pleaded with several bank employees to reconsider, but was told that once an account had been closed, nothing could be done. Then, one bank employee mentioned that the 'back office' does not like to complete the paperwork necessary to reinstate an account. My branch manager did advocate for me, reaching out to the person at Simmons who could have overturned this action and rectified the matter. However, he told me that the person who has the authority to reinstate my account, refund my money, and allow me to complete the fresh start agreement, refused to do so. It's a shame that people would rather adhere to their 'arrogance and power' instead of helping a long-term customer. This person's refusal tells me that Simmons Bank could not care less about its customers. Because the person who could have reopened my account chose not to do so, which would have given me my $919 back that was taken from my other account, allowing me to meet my financial obligations as well as to complete the fresh start agreement, I am suffering financially.

The bank itself is the worst, right up there with bank of America. I've banked with this bank for yrs because they bought out the bank that was in our small town. Two other banks I applied for a car loan each gave me a loan, no problem and I don't even have accounts with them. I have 2 accounts with Simmons, 1 personal and 1 business, and they were making me jump though hoops. Both other banks gave each an auto loan in less than a half hour. Only reason this bank has 2 stars is because of the women that work at the branch I go to

They do okay but sometimes they screw you over when you know what is wrong with your account...all they want is your money so if anyone gets this bank make sure you don't get overdraft ever!!!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced with over 40 years of banking in multiple countries. Complete wast of time and money trying to get their error fixed. As a result I have closed all my accounts with this AWFUL bank because completely incompetent reps that cost me more time and money then they are worth.

I have been a customer of Simmons bank for over 15 years and never had a problem, until lately. I was a victim of fraud a couple of months ago, so I contacted the bank to report it and to be certain that no money had been taken. It had not. So the bank put a hold on my account, (made it "Dormant.") All of my monthly bills are set up as auto-pay. NONE of them are being paid because the bank is declining them. They finally gave me a new debit card and new account number, but my auto-pay bills are still not getting paid. This has been going on for approx 2 months and I have had to pay numerous late fees on everything. Some of them are as much as $40. I have not been working for almost 2 years now and my funds are very limited. I finally went to Simmons bank and closed my account and am looking fior a more professional bank. ...and, also, the new debit card they issued me has been declined many times (before I closed my account) This whole ordeal has been devastating!
