Sent me junk mail. It’s also addressed to a business that’s been closed for years. Not to bright of folks running this place

I banked with Spirit of Texas prior to the conversion to Simmons. The conversion was a nightmare, changing all of the business auto accounts when clients are on autodeposit. The subsequent loans for mortage have been confusing, incredibly slow, a lack of communication and clarity. So dissapointed and will be looking for a new business and personal bank solution.

⭐ 1 Star I had a deeply troubling experience at Simmons Bank on Custer Road in Frisco and feel compelled to warn others. I attempted to cash a legitimate check issued by a well-known national organization that maintains accounts and credit cards with Simmons Bank. The check was provided to help cover medical co-pays and deductibles. Despite this, the staff claimed they were unable to verify the check internally and refused to cash it. What made this experience especially disturbing was the dismissive treatment and apparent racial profiling. I was treated with unnecessary suspicion, despite the fact that I personally spoke with the issuing foundation’s accounting department, who confirmed the check was valid. There was a sign clearly posted at the counter stating that non-customers could cash checks for a $10 fee. However, this practice feels predatory—especially when the issuer of the check has an account with Simmons Bank, meaning funds are already held by the institution. Charging people to access funds drawn from an account the bank already manages feels like money-grabbing, particularly toward vulnerable individuals. To make matters worse, the staff appeared poorly trained and unfamiliar with basic verification procedures. Customer service was lacking, unhelpful, and dismissive. I ultimately had to deposit the check elsewhere, causing unnecessary hardship and delays. I do not recommend this branch. Proceed with caution.

Customer service is known to lie and tell you something completely different than the branch will. Tina Groves is an idiot and so are the other so called “senior officers” that love to make money of the backs of other people yet have zero sympathy for the people that make them their money.

I wish I would have seen all the bad reviews on here prior to applying for a loan. I was pre-qualified for a loan by Jennifer Carter-Navarro, but was subsequently denied in the middle of the appraisal. Because I own a small business, my 1040 looks a lot different from someone who does not own an s-corporation. Thier total lack of understanding of business banking is shocking. My advice is if you own a small business, don't make an assumption that Simmons Bank even remotely comprehends how that works. They don't understand how depreciation, amortization and business deductions can affect the income line on your 1040. Jennifer had the nerve to say I had lost $7 a month when my actual income was higher than the top 1% of poeple in the United States. Simmons is completely blind to small business, so if you're in that category my advice is to stay away at all costs.
