I joined and paid for a full years…
I joined and paid for a full years premium subscription on 16.04.2020, not taking into consideration that the pandemic would last over a year.
My matches were not the choices l specified, the distance wasn't taking into consideration, sending me matches in Windsor, London when l live in Birmingham and specified no more than 50miles.
Cancelled my automatic renewal premium subscription 24hrs before it was due to be renewed on 15.04.2021, it was due to be automatically renewed on the 16.04.2021.
First, l received a email from them on 28.04.2021, informing me someone l'd been messaging with via the site had been found to be a scam/fraud trying to catfish money from suitors and they're investigating. This is fictitious, as the name l've never seen before. It looked to be dutch or german, l'm not even sure.
Next day, 29.04.2021, l receive an email from them, telling me l need to pay for a full years premium renewal fee of £239.40, as l never cancelled 7 days prior to my renewal date and two attempts had already been attempted, so then a reminder is automatically sent to the registered email addrs informing them of this and their obligation to pay. Yet the confirmation email l received after l cancelled the automatic renewal didn't state this, as l've still got it.
They're saying, my premium subscription was renewed on the 17.04.202, due to me not giving 7 days notice. This is proof this company is a SCAM, as to generate a email confirmation, that means the company would be aware that l'd cancelled my automatic renewal subscription, so why renew it on the 17.04.2021??
I've advised them, l won't be paying, to commence legal action and l've also instructed my bank about the matter and all future attempts will also be refused.
You maybe getting on in life and would like to find someone, so you don't face your over 50yrs+ on your own, but this company is a scam and obviously enjoys profiting from people not paying too much attention to the whole process of profile, matches, compatibility and distance your prepared to travel.
DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY OR FEEL YOU'LL NEVER MEET SOMEONE, they're preying on how lonely a lot of people have found the lockdowns and restrictions to travel.

I had used Silver singles in Canada and…
I had used Silver singles in Canada and it worked out well but in New Zealand after 4 months, the only contacts I get are from far away. I see the same picture show up as a different person with different ages so I have zero trust in the new zealand version. the method they show for cancelling my account doesn’t work. I read the entire agreement which took over and hour and clearly Silver Singles has had problems in many jurisdictions. They should not charge any money for this site until they get more than one or two users come on board each month assuming any are real which is doubtful. There are lots of fake sites that rate this well but TrustPilot tells the truth about how truly horrible and useless this site is in New Zealand.

I took the personality quiz and then couldn’t access the site to continue. So this company has all my details and lifestyle choices to pass onto companies to target me with ads. Wish I’d looked here first.

Totally agree with all comments on…
Totally agree with all comments on here. SS is a SCAM company- don't touch them. First they took my fee of £89.85 twice for a 3 month period. Then lied to me by email that they had only taken it once. Fortunately I complained immediately to Pay Pal & received an email from PP saying case won & one fee is being returned. However...this morning they have blocked my contacts & are attempting to extract another £30 for a 'premium service' after 10 DAYS!!!. Scam: I am not paying extra for access to this site & want to complain. Anyone know what body to complain to?? They operate in Netherlands & should be closed down. Oh....& if you get involved you will have a hell of a job stopping them auto renewing.

Don't Sign Up Not Worth It
Definitely do not sign up for SilverSingles. I can't believe that they are still in business. I live in a large city but my matches are from all over the state and even other states. But the thing I hate most about it is their layout. Almost everyone has one image of themselves and nothing written about them. And all people do is send a smile. Save your money.

Terrible Customer Service
I opened an online account with Silver Singles about three weeks ago. I tested their customer services before I joined and it was terrible, so I emailed them to close my account. It took four days for them to respond. Today, after 5 days they emailed me again as if I never requested my account be closed.
This company is off-shore in the Netherlands
Don't get involved with flaky company.
