Angels on earth at Silverado
My sweet mom spent 3 years in the care of some amazing angels at Silverado in Encinitas and while the decision to place her in the care of virtual strangers was the hardest and most painful experience for my Dad, myself and my siblings initially, it was made tolerable with the constant communication with us and the attentiveness to my moms needs from the loving staff who adored who more and more each day. Granted there were things we had to work through and ups and downs along the way but her care was the number one priority and we had so many beautiful angels watching over her in the community as well as us, her loving family, on the outside to make sure they knew who she truly was and how much she was adored. we lost our sweet momma a year and a half ago but have always been grateful for the love and care shown to her by the Silverado family and so appreciate all the efforts during the pandemic when we couldn't see her in person yet they were always willing and eager to share videos of her and send pictures to us when we needed them most. These angels on earth never hesitated to share with Mom the messages and videos of love we sent to her regularly and responded back with her reactions that meant everything to us. Her caregivers gave her so much love and we knew they understood the level of love her family had for her and her for us. Alzheimers is a terrible disease and it took away the beautiful person we knew as a wife, momma and nana but it could never take the love and respect we had for her away and the staff at Silverado made sure to keep that respect and love a priority. We miss her so and we will always be grateful to all who took care of her in all ways possible. Thank you Silverado Family Susan T
