Good selection of grocery items, but service is slow

Shop Rite -DELRAN. First, its taken me 4 years to write this review because the issues in the meat department have occurred intermittently. 1. Earlier this week I had to return 3 racks of ribs that were shrink wrapped. They smelled sour but the date was fine. The meat was absolutely poorly stored somewhere because it was shrink wrapped directly from the manufacturer. To be fair, Shop Rite returned the money for all three racks totaling $38 dollar. 2. I went to make a sandwich today and realized they sold us executive turkey cold cuts dated for July 11 - the last date of sale. I went rummaging through the refrigerator sure that I had the cold cuts from last week in my hand. Nope. The ham we purchased that day was dated 7.18.22. I could deal with the shredded ends they sold us but what bothers me is the deli sales person cut it and handed it to my husband! These ends should be sold at a discount because no one wants to take something like this home. Now I will inspect every package at this store and leave it behind unless it has 6-7 days left on it. ***I advise anyone to double open your meat and check before you drop it in your freezer as this is not the first time this has happened. ***Regarding the grocery items - I haven't experienced any problems with the grocery items. Meat and Deli Experience: 1 Star Sales people: 5 stars Grocery items: 4-5 stars The managers should heed this warning, there are so many grocery stores competing that customers should not have to put up with this.

The physical store in Jersey City is fine. Never had an issue with staff or product. My issue is the recent changes to the online website. It is too distracting and has too much happening and I despise it. Will wait on the paper circular to be distributed going forward.

I go to ShopRite to get something easily at a reasonable price. I feel that this is a store that is well organized. But sometimes the express line is not express for the customers. There was only one cashier who was taking care of checkout so it took so much longer time than I expected. This happened several times.

My first few times shopping at your East Windsor location was a joy. Very friendly associates. Now 2 years later customer friendliness has totally gone down. Employees don’t greet you, tell you what your total purchase is, count back your change, etc. on more then 3 occasions I have asked the bakery dept where an item was on sale. Their response each time was, “idk, look over there”! They should know where everything is, it’s their dept. I asked the employee in the yogurt section about a dip they used to sell. His Response” I guess we don’t sell it anymore “! Don’t you know if you do or not? Shouldn’t he have taken the time to find out for me ? I can go on and on, but why bother! Your store needs a course in customer friendliness. Very unfriendly, if they don’t like their job they should find another. Don’t give off your unfriendly vibes to others

I shop at chestnut hill newark delaware,it's a great store,but have been experiencing bad service at the meat department.I've been getting attitude and rolled eyes multiple times when I need meat cut.I've even had meat cut wrong way purposely I believe.I thought that It's there job to help the customer.
