I had a wonderful experience with Shemmassian Academic Consulting. Interviews are a key component of the medical school application, and I received great help on my interviewing skills. Dr Shemmassian, Dr Song, and Dr Ripa were all very knowledgeable regarding medical school admissions, gave very timely responses, and offered amazing advice regarding my future interviews. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I am so happy I chose to work with Shemmassian Academic Consulting for my medical school interview prep. First, Dr. Shemmassian and his team were extremely prompt in scheduling me for a mock interview. I emailed on an extremely short notice, and they were able to fit me in to their schedule, which I was very thankful for. Secondly, the mock interview itself was extremely helpful and boosted my confidence. Before my time with Dr. Ripa, I was very nervous about the MMI format of interviews. However, after my mock session, all my questions were answered and my fears dissipated. Because of the detailed feedback Dr. Ripa provided, I know I will be successful on my actual interview day. I could not recommend this company enough!

At the beginning I knew I needed plenty of work. Stressed, nervous, and doubtful; the Shemmassian team put an amazing effort into helping me improve. Monica (tutor) did such a wonderful job and not only helped me with learning content but was able to be motivating and flexible with many things that popped up this summer. If I could give advice to anyone taking the MCAT, it would be to have the Shemmassian team help you improve in every aspect possible.

For parents... Like many others, we were first time parents for a child going through the college application process. With a solid foundation of scores and grades, we were hopeful our daughter would have the chance to be considered for some of her "reach" schools. When she brought up the idea of throwing her name in the hat for combined BS/MD or BA/MD programs, we knew that the level of competition was at an elite level. The interview appeared to be a major threshold in the process, and this is where Shemmassian Academic Consulting did an amazing job. We utilized their services to help with our 17 year-old daughter (16 yo at the time when services were used) essentially prepare for a medical school interview. That is a task that really only a special group of academic advisors would be able to undertake...and that is exactly the light in which we see the Shemmassian group. Students aren't spoon fed "right" answers, but challenged to develop ways to show their unique selves for truly a high stress interview. We are very thankful for their patience, scheduling flexibility and detailed attentiveness to help our daughter prepare for the big stage. 5***** work guys!! (and yes, our daughter was blessed to be starting her top choice BA/MD program this fall).
