I truly felt supported and helped throughout my MCAT studying process. They were more than willing to work with my schedule and were very flexible. My own personal tutor was just the person I needed to help me get through the process, as I needed some extra encouragement. I was able to choose the content I wanted to review each session and each session was time very well spent. Thank y'all for everything!

Shemmassian Academic Consulting is by far the best investment I have made to help propel me and achieve my dreams of becoming a physician!
Before meeting Dr. Shemmassian, I struggled to find an efficient way to maximize my success on my MCAT as well as feeling doubtful about the application process, since I was never the best writer. However, with the amazing help of Dr. Shemmassian, Emily, and Sahil, my doubts and worries were mitigated with the unconditional support that they and the rest of the SAC team have provided.
What sets Dr. Shemmassian and the entire SAC team apart from other companies is the care they offer you at any stage of the process. Throughout my time with Dr. Shemmassian and the SAC team, I realized that they have become an extended part of my family who I care about and can always rely on whenever I am facing any type of struggles!
I recently got accepted to Loyola Stritch School of Medicine, and I cannot thank Dr. Shemmassian and the entire SAC team enough for all the long hours and hard work they have put in to help me become the best student I can be. With Dr. Shemmassian, Emily, Sahil, and the rest of the SAC team, I always feel like I am invincible and can achieve anything! Got into a Top 10 Medical School!
This is by far, unquestionably the best academic consulting organization out there. I got into a top 10 medical school by the help of Dr. Shemmassian and my advisors, Dr. Paul, Dr. Jothishankar & Emily.
I have been all over Reddit forums and student doctor network, trying to make sense of writing my app with all the accredited sticky guides. When I wrote my first application in 2020 before joining SAC and gave it to my PI, who does admissions for his program, he confidently told me I would be rejected by every program in the country with the application I had together. I thought I did all the right things. I thought by listening to all the renowned admissions experts on SDN and Reddit and all the people it would work. Clearly that wasn't the case. Thus, with the necessity of retaking the MCAT and needing to improve my app, along with the pandemic, I waited a year.
I joined SAC in February 2021 and immediately they took care of me. I used their tutoring services and they helped me get my CARS score together and were a key piece of getting my 504 to a 516. I worked through 10 drafts of my personal statement and work activities section before turning in my primary. The amount of secondaries was absolutely daunting and at times I genuinely did not think I would be able to get it done. Thankfully, with their 48 hour turn around time, they truly stay faithful to their promises. And I must say, at a high quality. Some of my drafts were terrible and the assistance and guidance I needed turned it into a gemstone.
I also appreciate SAC's integrity. They really make sure that you stay honest in the process and all the revisions you make are YOUR revisions. They don't write your essays, and I would steer very far clear from an organization that would try to pitch that to you. Medical school admissions is geared towards uniqueness, about who YOU are as a person. SAC clearly understands this, as my advisors did, and they made sure I stuck to that.
I should mention. I got interviewed at 3 schools in my state because of the help I receive here at SAC. I got into one of my top choices in state and I didn't need to stress too much about the process. It's just such a big blessing to be able to see this dream come true. (All top medical schools in the state of California).
This is one of the few organizations I truly trust. I knew this was a huge investment and with the current times, it is so easy to be wary about wanting to trust a group of people with your future. Take it from someone who has read every thread out there, in the dark wormhole of the internet to decipher what is good advice and what is not. If you are on the fence of taking the leap and trusting an organization to help make your dreams come true to become a physician, this is the place to be. The people here are genuinely good people and know how to bring the best out of you.
I recommend this place to any premed that wants to become a doctor and knows that they can't write this app on their own. Trust me. Reddit and SDN will not cut it for you. SAC will get you to where you want to be.
Thank you so much again to Dr. Shemmassian, Dr. Paul, Dr. Jothishankar, Dr. Bishop, Emily, Anika, Alexa, and Sarah. You were all so wonderful and such an integral part of my journey. I am excited for my next chapter in medical school!!

13 point increase
Score increase: 13
The score increase speaks for itself, but I really appreciate the amazing tutors at Shemassian for helping me stay accountable by creating a study schedule, and supplementing my self-studying with tutoring sessions! I was a bit hesitant to spend money on tutoring, but it was definitely worth it in hindsight! Thank you PK!

Dr. Woo Review - 5 stars
Dr. Woo was professional and supportive, providing constructive feedback even when he acknowledged significant improvement or success. I would highly recommend him for any sort of interview assistance. I feel immensely more prepared after doing so.

From Frustrated to Flourishing
I had tried two other tutoring companies and studied for nine frustrating months for the MCAT before finding Shemmassian..and let me tell you, I wish I had found them sooner! They have incredible online content including high yield chapter reviews, study plans, passage walk-through videos, and top test taking strategies! Within two weeks of using their 2-month study schedule my practice test score went up 9 points!! I also worked with a tutor for the CARS passages and I walked away with so many practical new tools for this section. Everyone I have interacted with from this company has been helpful and kind. The clear difference is that Shemmassian knows what you need to succeed on the MCAT. Before I found them I felt like I was spending hours every week studying but never making any progress; now that I've found their company I am FINALLY making progress. Please save yourself the trouble I went through-maximize the resources and professional tutorship of this company to obtain the score YOU want on the MCAT.

From no interviews to my top choice!
The Shemmassian Consulting team helped me get into my DREAM medical school! I give them my highest recommendation. Here's my story as a reapplicant: My confidence was shaken when I applied the first time and did not receive a single interview - I wanted expert advice on how to improve my application and sought support from SAC for my second application cycle. Dr. Shemmassian immediately identified multiple areas of improvement for my application during our initial call. My consultant, Dr. Song, was meticulous in reviewing my materials, responsive to my many questions, and constructive in his feedback for my essay drafts and interview practice. He reassured me when I second-guessed myself and provided insight to the admissions process. I went from zero interviews in the first cycle to 8 invitations, multiple acceptances, including my top choice! Thank you to Dr. Shemmassian and the entire team for being a part of my journey and celebrating my interviews and acceptances. I am so grateful for your invaluable support.

Best company ever
As an international student, medical school is an almost unattainable goal. With Shemmassian consulting I managed to secure more than 8 interview invites and more than 5 admission offers. Faculty, deans, students complimented my application and the way I showed my story. I couldn’t have achieved this without Lauren and Dr J, who were always present for me, whether I sent in edits at 2 am or on a weekend. They not only supported me with their incredible knowledge and skills, but they also helped me believe I was good enough when I felt like I didn’t have what it took to get to medical school. I will forever be thankful for their patience, kindness and support during what would have otherwise been an impossible journey.
