Sesame is a dangerous platform for anyone needing time-sensitive medical care. In one morning, I was failed by two separate providers while trying to secure a bridge for a critical medical procedure. The first, Shola Akinfiresoye, was a complete no-show. The second, Dr. Tawfeek, was late, admitted to reading my intake notes (which explicitly stated the reason for the visit), and then waited until the paid session started to say he "couldn't help." This platform allows doctors to "bait and switch" patients—collecting fees for appointments they have no intention of fulfilling. There is no screening process to prevent doctors from taking money for cases they won't treat. If you are in a high-stakes medical situation, do not trust this platform. It is a predatory waste of time and money.

I wouldn’t recommend it. I tried to have my prescriptions sent to the pharmacy, but they couldn’t resolve it on their end. I spent hours dealing with this and regret using their service.

They absolutely do not offer adhd medication and will charge you if you pick up a call.

This is a fraudulent company without any supervisors. I asked to speak to a supervisor and multiple representatives (Jayson & Joyce) told me to keep “waiting” until they found someone… then proceeded to ignore me entirely. What kind of comapny can’t find someone above the customer service agents??? Not to mention, I booked with an APRN (bad choice) who said she’ll prescribe me an anti-fungal lotion for a localized rash. She rushed me off the call so quickly. The time spent was mostly her venting about her divorce and her OBGYN. She never sent in the prescription! Once I finally got ahold of the prescription, it was an oral anti-fungal for babies!! My research said do not take an oral anti-fungal for a small, localized rash on an adult! Do NOT use this company.

I booked a same-day appointment with Chigozie Ohanele, APRN-CNP through Sesame Care specifically for anxiety treatment, as I have been in therapy for over a year and needed professional medical management. Unfortunately, this was a complete waste of time and money. Despite being listed under 'Anxiety Care,' this provider demonstrated a total lack of clinical knowledge regarding anxiety disorders. Instead of discussing evidence-based treatments or somatic release techniques (which she seemed unfamiliar with), her 'medical advice' consisted of telling me to read the Bible and look at the sky. She went as far as to suggest that a lack of religion is the cause of anxiety. Furthermore, she was obsessed with ordering expensive blood work for vitamin levels before even listening to my history, dismissively claiming the tests were 'cheap.' When I didn't immediately agree to her non-clinical suggestions, she became defensive, claiming I was 'refusing treatment.' She eventually told me to see a psychiatrist—which is exactly why I used Sesame Care to begin with. Sesame Care should remove her from the anxiety category immediately. Her approach is dismissive, religiously biased, and clinically inadequate for patients with severe symptoms. I had a very poor session with Chigozie Ohanele regarding anxiety treatment, but Ms. Cel from Customer Support turned the situation around. She listened to my concerns and fixed the issue instantly. It is rare to find support that is this kind and efficient. My 5-star rating here is specifically for Ms. Cel—she is the reason I’m giving Sesame Care another chance. She is absolutely wonderful.

So this company asked where I was for the appointment and I said New York and they sent four prescriptions to New York but they sent this prescription for blood work to North Carolina and over four business days they couldn't do anything about it and this is a very big deal. I wouldn't put trust in them after days they said they would handle it and they have not handled it at all this is a very bad situation for me and they have not help me at all

Cancelation can be difficult and subscription information is purposely opaque. After emailing I received the fine print. How often can you cancel 3 hours before your appointment? Isn't the point a quick visit? "Subscription Refunds: Cancel at least 3 hours before your initial visit to receive a full refund No refunds for the first month after the initial visit You can cancel your subscription at any time, but to avoid future charges, cancel before the next billing cycle. Previous months’ fees are non-refundable"

I signed up for the plus plan. I scheduled an appointment with a provider for the following day. I don’t have insurance which is why I used this platform. The cost for the first appointment was $94. Later the provider reached out asking for insurance, I informed them I don’t have insurance which was communicated in the scheduling of the appointment. The provider told me the cost for the first appointment is $250, then $150 for follow up appointments. I already know I can’t get the controlled ADHD meds using this program, but I was hopeful I could figure something out with non-stimulant medication. I struggle with working without meds, I can’t afford insurance, this experience has really provided me with no hope of getting better anytime soon. I really was hopeful I could afford to see someone and get help. I just feel so hopeless.
