Don’t recommend Sesame Care
I tried using Sesame Care to get my daughter a prescription for the flu, but it was a really disappointing experience. Here’s some background: My older child tested positive for Flu A at her pediatrician’s office and was prescribed Tamiflu. A couple of days later, despite our efforts to separate them, my younger child also started showing symptoms. We used an at-home test kit and confirmed she had Flu A as well. Since it was the weekend and no local clinics were available, we decided to try Sesame. Our scheduled appointment ran 30 minutes late, but when the doctor finally showed up, they agreed to prescribe the medication. However, later that evening, the pharmacy called to inform me they couldn’t release the medication because the prescription had the wrong patient name, and since it was a pediatric dose, they needed the doctor to correct it. The pharmacy reached out to the doctor, but a full day passed with no update, despite my repeated messages. Frustrated, I booked another appointment—not only to fix the prescription issue but also to get treatment for myself, as I had started developing symptoms. This experience was even worse—the doctor never showed up, and I waited for over two hours. I contacted Sesame multiple times, left messages for the doctors over the course of two days, and still, nothing was resolved. This entire experience was incredibly frustrating, and I will never use Sesame again.
