ill give you 2 stars for still allowing me access to MY OWN DATA. otherwise this subscription model is GARBAGE, SCAM, unethical and holding my info hostage for a subscription just like the rest of them. This subscription garbage needs to end. Everyone thinks they can just start dipping into client's accounts because their product is online even after people have purchased things already. This model needs to be made illegal for products people have already purchased under other pretences. what next- do I need to pay a subscription for my own furniture???

Early Days, WGS results are really not unique, useful or actionable. Maybe in time, but the private equity backers are forcing the sale of reports that say nothing then repackaging the same reports for health providers for an additional fee ... what's next, the same thing? 1. WGS complete! [good] 2. Applicability for 99.9% of us, [not actionable]. They also forced me to enter my credit card when registering the kit (which I already paid for) with no way to remove it without calling or emailing their customer support [they did remove after contacting them]. That is circa 2000 Internet sales techniques and at this point predatory. There is no value in this offering at this point beyond getting the WGS completed and taking the data elsewhere (for me). Marketing is way ahead of the science and actionability here.

I loved Sequencing when I first got my results. Now, you can’t use your results without a phd in genetics or an $80 per month subscription. It’s no longer the help I need. Revert or just no.

I am not happy with my sequencing at all. So I find the app super difficult to actually get any information. You can get a lot of information in different areas but once you’re in to the reports, you can’t for instance just click on cc or RC or LC or whatever the initials are to find out what the definition is so you’re constantly doing searches. The AI on the app is completely useless. It doesn’t stop typing after you ask a question and you’re up there trying to read the results. it just keeps typing to you like every 30 seconds and makes the chat go back down to the bottom so I lose my place where I’m reading and I get super frustrated with the AI It doesn’t work seamlessly like it should… the reports are even more confusing instead of giving me 100 different reports that don’t mean anything but telling me that I have like 175 genes that have some kind of anomaly or I’m likely a carrier of something instead why don’t all the reports work together and tell me hey you have several Genes that may point to this …. each one of these categories and an overall place to look next …. it doesn’t break it down like that I don’t understand the results at all. How do you have so many things that you’re a carrier for and that you might likely have, but there is no positive results about anything everything‘s a maybe??? I don’t understand. Please make it make sense. I kinda wanna ask for a refund, but I won’t do that to them. They can keep my little money. I just know better than to spend anymore. I deleted my credit card immediately when I found out the website was so difficult to use and you have to go into a different app for each thing and none of the information talks to each other. It just was supposed to make something so easy and it just didn’t ! The advertisements made It seem like it was gonna be amazing. It’s gonna give me an answer to something. It just gave me more questions. I like the idea of what it’s supposed to be, but it just doesn’t seamlessly come together yet all the reports need to work together. It doesn’t make any sense to have 1 million different reports that they’re not talking and giving an overall result, even if it’s medium or unsure, it would give me a next step on where to look. The process itself with mailing in my sample and the results was as advertised actually, I think it was a little bit faster than advertised so that wasn’t too bad. I was kind of impressed at that point, but then the results came in. It just makes no absolute sense in the world. It would be really helpful if they added some features to their website and if they’re AI didn’t type every 10 seconds while you’re trying to read something! Also that it just gave you results and instead of having five different apps I have to go in for five different views on the same results with reports in each one why aren’t they all just together and give you a big result at the end I thought that’s kind of how it was gonna work but maybe I was ahead of your time if those improvements were made, I would change my rating.

We ordered and submitted two DNA Kits. When we received our results, they were different for both kits. The marketplace cost of the reports looks the same for both kits. So why not allow us to choose the reports we want instead of sending random reports? We are now forced to pay for the reports we would prefer. After receiving our first results, we were very excited to tell our friends and family about Sequencing.com, not realizing that they were random. We are now less likely to recommend based on our experience with the random reports received with the second kits results.

To begin, they received my sample 15 Aug 23 (I followed all directions and had it done by my sister who is a 30 yr RN just to be sure it was done right) and didn’t get results until 2 Feb 24. I was given the premium genome explorer plus access to compensate for the extreme delay and that was interesting. I didn’t realize it would only be for a month. The reason I did this test was to check for breast cancer risk due to many family members having it. Of BRCA1, 25 lines, 13 had no data. BRCA2, of 86 lines, 23 had no data. In truth I could have gotten as much information from the free apps online and my old ancestry DNA raw file. Of the 30K genome sequences advertised, I only obtained 21.2K. I highly suspect degradation of the sample due to the length of time waiting for processing, to be the primary factor. Overall, I do not believe that the service provided was sufficient.

For the price I was pretty unhappy with what I got. Certain tools I thought that were available were not. They make some reports easy to interpret and other reports they make very difficult. I did a DNA health report on My heritage and I got exactly what I expected to get and the data does not line up with the data on my sequencing. I’ve even verified with a doctor that I have a condition that my sequencing said I was unlikely to have and my heritage had clued me into it. I just wasn’t impressed having paid a lot of money for this service. It fell short on my expectations. If I knew it would’ve turned out the way it did I would not have done it. It might be what some people are looking for but personally I was disappointed. Price-wise not worth it to me.
