Be careful when ordering from Sephora Australia online. My experience has been extremely disappointing. I received a used perfume with missing juice. Sephora initially agreed to refund me but kept delaying it, claiming there was a “technical issue” with PayPal. By the time i escalated to Paypal, my PayPal buyer protection period had expired, leaving me without a refund. I’m also aware of another case where a friend ordered three perfumes but only received two. Sephora said their warehouse investigation showed all three had been packed and refused a refund or replacement despite the missing item. If you order online, record yourself opening the parcel, check everything immediately, and don’t let your PayPal or credit card dispute deadline expire while waiting for Sephora to resolve the issue . Based on my experience, I won’t be purchasing anything from Sephora Australia again.

I wouldn’t give this even a one star based on this experience that I’m having. I purchased items in supposedly a standalone Sephora and as I’m driving through Town & Country mall, I see a huge sign indicating that it’s a Sephora store. I took a lip liner back to return as it was misrepresented as being a long, lasting all day, lip liner, and lipstick which it was not. Steve, the manager said that they do not accept returns from other Sephora stores. In the meantime they represent themselves strictly as Sephora, not Sephora and Kohl’s, etc. according to Steve they will not accept returns. I told him that corporate needs to know that since they are representing themselves as Sephora alone, they should accept the returns and then they can be responsible for returning it to corporate not putting the onus on the customer. This is totally unacceptable. I am less inclined to do my purchasing of all skin care and makeup at your stores.

I have placed online order ##831005001409 with Sephora for almost $90 and was able to pick 3 Free Gift / Samples. There wasn't a good choice except of one: Tom Ford Taromina Orange Eau de Parfum with Citrus & Oakmoss. Sample of expensive Parfum. Well, I got only two from 3 samples and of course the one I didn't get was Tom Ford Parfum. I just called to Sephora Customer service and I was told, that they are "Sorry", but because they don't ship just a sample, I should PURCHASE AGAIN something else to be able to get that Free Gift. Seriously? I was weighting for that samples to try and probably go buy it from Sephora, because I like citrus aroma so much. Well, looks like I will just go to the store, another store, try it and buy it. I am writing this review, because it was the final surprise, that they didn't tell me come to the store and get it in the store. NO. I was told that I MUST to buy something again.

I ordered a Sol De Janeiro Body cream for £62 plus paid for next day delivery. I was sent completely the wrong order. I was sent eye lash curlers and a Mac lip pencil. I've obviously been sent soneone else's order. I didn't order any of the items I received. This is literally a Joke. Can someone send the correct item or refund it. I won't be using this company again. I literally couldn't believe my eyes when this parcel arrived. Order number FN1013241978

I cannot believe that such a large, established retailer can operate like this in 2026. I had been a loyal customer and had spent a significant amount of money with this company over the years. After this experience, I will not be shopping with them again. On 3 July, I ordered a Dyson Coanda 2x with next-day delivery. It arrived promptly, but the product was faulty. That was when the nightmare began. There appears to be no meaningful way to speak to anyone directly, so I contacted customer service through every available written channel. I provided the order details, explained the fault and recorded a video demonstrating the problem, exactly as requested. Despite this, multiple separate support threads were created for the same issue, apparently because their entire customer-service system is chaotic and disconnected. Every time I contacted them, I received virtually the same generic response apologising that I was “experiencing an issue” and asking me yet again to provide my name, order number and video. I had already supplied this information repeatedly. This was a very expensive product, although I had purchased it during a promotion for £100 less than the usual price. I therefore requested a straightforward replacement rather than a refund. After weeks of emails and hours of my time being wasted, someone finally confirmed that a replacement would be sent. Unsurprisingly, that did not happen. Instead, I eventually received a refund, meaning I lost the product and the promotional price through absolutely no fault of my own. It is now August, and this issue has dragged on since 9 July. What frustrates me most is the complete disregard for customers’ time. Some customers have demanding jobs and busy lives. We should not have to spend time almost every day chasing the same issue, resending the same information and receiving meaningless automated responses. This was not a minor inconvenience. It was a month-long failure involving a high-value faulty product, a disorganised support system, repeated generic emails and a replacement promise that was not honoured. Absolutely outrageous service. Companies that treat loyal customers this way should not be surprised when they lose them.

Extremely frustrated. I ordered a Wow Xtra Large, product and recd an obviously defective product. No matter how nasty the product, past 30 days and they wouldn't even try. They lost my business. Apparently they haven't learned the high price of not standing behind their products.

I ordered a Chanel Bleu perfume from Sephora because I trusted a well-known retailer. When I opened the package, the perfume was missing. The box contained only a free sample and packing paper. I contacted customer service immediately and provided photos. Instead of properly investigating what happened, they kept sending the same copy-and-paste replies about their “internal procedures” and refused to take any responsibility. According to them, because their warehouse says everything was packed correctly, the customer must be wrong. I paid €100 and received no perfume, no refund, no replacement, and no real explanation. I genuinely feel scammed by the way Sephora handled this case. This experience completely destroyed my trust in Sephora. Never again. I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before ordering from a company that simply washes its hands of the problem when something goes wrong.
