Expensive shipping, bad fit
Bought a tee from them. Quality seems decent. The fit is awful. 2-3 sizes too small. $8 shipping for a teeshirt and you have pay $3 when you buy for the option to return.

Elevated essentials made to fit.

2025 Nov 19 Update, 2-stars: I got my 5th suit, and it fits perfectly. Unfortunately, it arrived too late for the wedding I bought it for, and it doesn't negate the poor experience I had along the way. But still, in the end, I got what I wanted in a perfect fit. Updated to 2-stars. 2025 Sep 15 Original Review, 1-star: Began order 4 months ago, May 16, for a wedding in October. 1st suit was very sloppy fit, and the lapel of the double breasted blazer was very curved instead of straight like in their photos. I wanted a return for refund because of the lapel. They pointed to their return policy only allowing remakes for custom items. However, they also said they could not change the lapel, nor guaranteee that any adjustments would improve the look of the lapel. This did not give me much confidence. They were also stupidly positive in their tone, and it took a couple emails to finally force out a statement of empathy. The 2nd suit was better, the 3rd suit even better, but still not quite wedding-ready. On Sep 4, I sent them a recap of the changes that we agreed on for the 3rd suit, then shared my photos and comments on the 4th suit, asking for their recommendations. They replied that they were going to make the 4th suit. I was confused because I was expecting recommendations from their "Fit Specialist." I asked if their fit specialist reviewed my photos and comments? They said "We did include your feedback when we processed your remake, here are the changes we applied to your remade Suit:" and listed my rehash. I replied, "No, please read my email again. I began by rehashing the changes for the 2nd set that were applied to this 3rd set, and then I provided comments on this 3rd set at the bottom of the email, and then one more comment on this 3rd set in the next email." They took another 5 days to reply to me: "Thanks for getting back to us. We included your feedback in the latest remade Suit. No worries, if you still have fit issues with the remade Suit, feel free to reach out to us and provide us with the photo." They take days and days to get back. On Sep 12, I said, "I did provide photos and comments on Thu Sep 4. I did NOT provide any remake instructions, and you did NOT provide any remake instructions. On Fri Sep 4 you said, "Awesome! I will process a remake of your Suit!" but how exactly are you remaking the suit without any remake instructions? You also took 5 days to reply to me, and I told you on Sep 4 that "I'll need to receive my final set by Friday Oct 17." You've wasted over a week of critical time by not reading and not responding. Please review my photos and comments from Thu Sep 4 and reply with remake suggestions for the 4th suit." And they replied with the same misunderstanding, "I attached here the return label you can use to return the original Suit, here are the fit adjustments we applied for your Suit, we included your feedback as well:" At this point we are just repeating ourselves because nobody on their side is actually taking more than a cursory glance before copy+pasting a template reply to me.

Difficult Returns. This company has no online return process, which is really suspect for being an online company. You have to send an email and then just wait for a response (haven't gotten mine yet), and hoe it doesn't get lost in a sea of junk emails. And the shirt was weird the way it fit.

I ordered a three pack of cumulus crew shirts on 11/7/24. I'm still waiting... One of the crazier retail experiences i've ever had. I got one shirt in early December. No updates on the order at all on the website, no emails about shipping, nothing. I sent an email to customer service, and they said the site is not working so updates aren't sent. So i had no way to provide feedback on the fit through an online tool, just a rep asking if the others could go to production. I said yes because the fit was fine, and I didn't know what to say in an email to a CS rep who's covering for a malfunctioning website. I get the second shirt a few weeks later (late December), no shipping or delivery emails, nothing. So I email again asking about the third shirt, again I emailed, no one reached out. It turns out that material was now out of stock, could I pick another color (no mention of what was actually available). OK so I picked a different color. Three weeks later I email to ask status because of course no status emails or anything, radio silence. It tuns out the new color is also out of stock!!! But good news, the original is supposedly back in stock and "going to production". It's 1/21 today and i'm still waiting on my order, i'm not sure it will ever get here. Sene offered me a $20 gift card for a $200+ order that has completely gone off the rails - felt like a token response... TLDR - do not expect your order any time soon, if at all, and do not expect much in terms of communication or recompense. They are nice quality if you ever manage to get them. It looks like they won't post this review to their site either, which isn't a great look.

UPDATE: After another unfruitful exchange with David, the customer experience lead reached out to me here with a sincere apology and promptly refunded the shipping. Bumping up my review from 1 star to 2 as it took a fair bit of Karen-ing to get a fair outcome, here. ORIGINAL: I've been a pretty loyal Sene customer for the last couple years — I've ordered a couple pairs of jeans for my husband and myself as well as a full suit and some sample sale trousers. We ran into some fit and quality issues, but all-in-all I was happy to put in a little legwork for a relatively affordable bespoke product. However, I recently ordered a pair of pants from their sample sale size 32x36. I received the wrong size (a 32x26). They refunded the cost of the pants and told me to donate them, but did not refund the shipping. When I reached out to point this out, a person called David responded and told me "we can't refund the shipping, unfortunately, only the garment." I responded and pointed out that I effectively paid $5 for them to send me the wrong thing. As of yet (two business days + the weekend), I haven't heard back. I'm still out the shipping. It's crap to be charged for their mistake. It's very disrespectful to their customers, especially loyal ones.

Hi there, this is Emil, the CX lead for Sene. Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. I investigated the situation and it's indeed our mistake in labeling the sample sale item and you should have been refunded 100% promptly. I've gone ahead and issued the $4.99 refund for you!

While I had some "fit issues" (an initial suit that was too small for an athletic build), I was optimistic those issues could be taken care of as part of future remakes & alterations. My main issue is related to the customer experience & not being able to work with Sene to reach an effective compromise in order to receive the custom product I desired (suit with double-vented jacket). As a busy professional, I'm very disappointed in the personal time & energy I invested in the Sene process to ultimately be refused the custom product I ordered/desired, despite offering to spend hundreds more (to try satisfying their not-so-obvious "VIP" policy requiring a minimum lifetime spend of $1000 to special-request double vents). Given how the customer experience has turned out, I regret my purchase & would discourage/caution others from doing so. I'm at least thankful that Sene has offered to refund my purchase price (but unfortunately not the lost time & energy). Opportunities for Improvement: - Work with Your Customers - customer experience is so important, especially today & especially for a "custom" clothing maker. It's incredibly frustrating to be a customer who wants to give a company a chance & be told, after much time & energy invested, that they are unwilling to compromise with you. If they want to stick with their VIP policy restricting double-vented suits (in the first place... why??), I don't understand why they would turn down a customer who is willing to spend hundreds more just to get the 1 product he thought he was getting in the first place. These missed expectations on my "custom" suit & lack of working towards a compromise were very frustrating to experience. - Faster Responses: I have an email thread with 30+ responses & each Sene response could take several days. This contributed to the time & energy I lost in the long, tedious process. Replying faster could have at least minimized my lost time & helped me realize faster that Sene was not willing to compromise with me. - Optimize for different body types: while I didn't have a chance to arrive at the finished product, it was initially frustrating for the clothing to be so small/tight (after providing up-front feedback that store-bought clothes are typically too tight). Doesn't seem like a great product for athletic males. - Offer face-to-face fitting: I found it personally difficult to provide multiple rounds of feedback on my initial products. I would have paid extra to go into a partnering tailor/expert to have them assess my fit & provide faster, more effective feedback than I could myself. This contributed to the sense of wasted time & energy I felt engaging in Sene's process.

Their fit is just not that great. I've had to send suits back and forth for remakes multiple times and the turnaround each time is 3-4 weeks. The material is also not great, looks cheap. Comfortable but I'm gonna pass on this company after two suits with multiple remakes and month and month long issues.
