See's customer service is SORELY LACKING!
I have an established mail-order and walk-in long history with See's. I placed (2) large orders online December 9. One was to be sent to Tallahassee, FL and the other to San Francisco. Since orders all come from Carson, CA (greater Los Angeles area) I figured that SF order ought to already be there. I tracked that order this morning only to find that it was out for delivery December 11, but as of yesterday, after what tracking history shows as [maybe] series of holds and unsuccessful attempts to deliver, as of yesterday the 22nd, it was "DISCARDED." It took nearly 4 hours to hear back from customer service. This is after starting at 11:30 AM, waiting half-an hour on hold, then having system tell me I could get a call back. Finally a Margarita Guzman returned my call. She seemed pretty unconcerned about this tragedy. She promised me she would email her "lead" with my info. I asked if I could also email this person. She told me "Sure, you can send it to "GBellas" NO reply. ALL DAY. Not even an auto-reply. Some other person ("Tenicia", or "Kenishia") left me a voice message at 3:36 PM which I unfortunately missed when I had to go outside my house for half an hour, only to discover it too late to return their call. They shut down by 4:30 PM. That caller, me a rather suspect explanation that the delivery service (I have no way of knowing who they used- it was not UPS nor USPS) "tried to reach out --uh, uh, the package was damaged (4 pounds of candy custom mixed for members of our family out of town!!) ,"uh- and-uh, well, this address might not be in their service area...call us back and tell us if you want to reorder the order." So, on Christmas Eve, I have to start wasting more time at 8 AM. NO ONE returns emails. You cannot leave a voice message. I expect See's to replace this order and have it delivered overnight express at their expense. I will not accept this. I have always LOVED See's customer service, and never has there been any problem delivering quite quickly to the SAME addresses of our both our adult children. I fear See's lost good staff this year due to the pandemic. The people on the phone, though polite, do not inspire confidence. The order for Florida apparently was going through UPS. UPS still has not received the order to send it out for delivery. They said today it appears to STILL be in California. UPS reports that have a label waiting, but order in package is not there yet. With so much that doesn't feel like Christmas this year, See's really ought to make this right. I could rant a whole bunch for terrible service last week at the local shop. That's another post.
