I ordered a Dive Rite’s XT BCD back pad. What I received was a back pad that was clearly labeled as a “Lumbar Pad”, and not as the XT back pad that I ordered. It was sewn grossly asymmetrically resulting in more padding on one side than the other, and had odd semi-circular cut outs at both shoulder blades negating any benefit of the pad in those areas. The pad appeared like simple test of sewing prowess which was never meant to be sold. There is no other reason for the odd nature of the construction of this item. The sent pad was clearly not like the product photograph on Scuba.com’s website, or on Dive Rite’s (the manufacturer’s) website, which was further demonstrated in the all of the photos to Scuba.com that I uploaded them. Even the scanned QR code sticker that was affixed to the plasticine bag that the pad came to me in, which was from Dive Rite verifies that what was sent looks nothing like what I ordered, and looks exactly like Scuba.com’s and Dive Rite’s online listings. As a side issue, the box the pad was sent in from Scuba.com was left unsealed at the top, how the pad did not fall out is a mystery (also included in the uploaded photos). Also odd, is why UPS even accepted the package as such. Despite all the uploaded photos showing the clearly unsealed box, the very odd and non-functional back pad that was labeled as a “lumbar pad”, and which conflicts with both Scuba.com’s and Dive Rite’s product photo’s, they denied their error and refused to exchange the lumbar pad for the correct XT back pad, offering me only the choice to return the pad for a refund. As a longtime client of both Leisure Pro and Adorama (your predecessor and owner respectively) It is really just sad that their customer service has essentially become non-existent. What was perpetrated here was a simple bait and switch….what was advertised by way of their online product photograph on their website and on Dive Rite’s website was entirely different then the product that was sent. By way of clarification, I already had the correct XT Back Pad on my son’s backplate bcd (purchased at the retail store), and was adding it to my backplate bcd based on his feedback. Their behavior will now cost them two good customers (mostly from the retail store). Visiting the retail store has always been the highlight of our frequent business trips to NYC.

Sent an item in because it was defective the very time I used it. In seeing their response, it was very obvious they did not read my concern at all. Poor customer service, will NOT buy from again.

Extremely creepy. Forcing actual humans to touch and hold their computer screen in order to shop on their site which is most likely being run/controlled by extremely non-human "a.i." is just plain bizarre, inverted, and very "end times".

I purchased a pair of Mares X-Stream fins from Scuba.com on sale. After around 70 dives and less than a year later the bungie strap broke. I contacted Mares and they said that I should handle the warranty through Scuba.com. I asked if I needed too send the entire fin or just the strap and they said the strap. I send the strap and the required documentation, A month later, I send Scuba.com an email asking about the status since I had not heard anything and they said that they had not started the warranty process because I did not send the entire fin. They did not bother to inform me that they were doing nothing. It cost me $10 to send them the strap and will cost another $20 to ship the fin and I do not know what the point is since the only thing broken is the strap. Over a month has been wasted. If I had bought this from my local shop, I could have just walked in and they could have told me what was required and I would know that they were working on it. Yes, Scuba.com has sales but you can go to your local dive shop and ask them if they will price match. I will from now on.

I spent nearly $700 on dive gear from Scuba.com, including a dive computer, masks, fins, snorkels, and wetsuits intended as gifts. The order arrived in a severely crushed shipping box that was clearly not sturdy enough for the value and type of products being shipped. Multiple product boxes inside were heavily damaged, including the packaging for the dive computer. While the items themselves appear functional, the presentation was completely ruined and the packaging used was inadequate to protect several hundred dollars worth of equipment during transit. After providing photos and contacting customer service, the final resolution offered was a $20 refund. I understand shipping damage can happen, but I expected significantly better packaging and customer service for an order of this value. Very disappointing experience.

Faber HP steel tank Caution do not buy anything that says no exchange and no return. I bought this tank because it stated in both the overview description and specifications page, that it comes with a DIN/K convertible valve, which they falsely advertised. What they actually shipped was a Yoke valve, I guess to get rid of inventory they had to falsify the specifications. I notified them three time about their error with no response. DO NOT be fooled like me.
