There are good things and bad things about this company. I'll start with the good. The quality of items I have received from them are exceptional. Their available methods of payment are also great. The buyback price is reasonable,at least what they quoted. I don't know for sure because I didn't actually return anything. Now for the bad, their shipping has to be the slowest of any metals place. I challenge you to find a slower one. Also their communication is poor on when your orders will be shipped. Their pricing is a little higher than other dealers, but can be ok occasionally when they have deals. Overall I would give them 3.5, but the shipping is so slow i can't give them a full 4 stars.

Although we are happy with the metals we’ve purchased, they’re corresponding to messages is sorely lacking. This is normal practice for them throughout the last five years or so. I’ve asked about transactions being completed and accepted several times. I have never gotten a reply.

LONG TIME CUSTOMER WITH A PROBLEM. SCOTTSDALE IS A GOOD COMPANY, GOOD PRODUCTS, PROBLEM IS THEY HAVE ADOPTED USING "PLAID" SERVICE TO PROCESS BANKING "E" CHECKS. IN ORDER TO USE E CHECKS, THEY ASK YOU TO GIVE THE "PLAID" SERVICE YOUR BANKING NAME AND PASSWORDS SO THEY CAN ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT AND PROCESS THE CHECKS. NO WAY I AM GIVING SOME THIRD PARTY MY BANKING INFO TO HAVE IT POSSIBLY HACKED AND SPREAD ON THE DARK WEB. SEARCH FOR "PLAID" AND READ SOME OF THE REVIEWS. IF PLAID GETS HACKED, YOUR BANKING INFO MAY BE PUBLIC INFO AT SOME POINT. NOT ONLY DOES PLAID HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT BUT POSSIBLY ALL OF YOUR ACCOUNTS, SAVINGS AND CHECKING, UNDER YOUR PASSWORD. THIS IS MY OPINION AND I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BUY FROM SCOTTSDALE USING THIS SYSTEM. I HAVE WRITTEN THEM AND VOICED THIS CONCERN. CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A NEW REPUTABLE DEALER THAT I CAN BUY FROM NOT USING "PLAID". EVEN MY BANK RECOMMENDED NOT USING A SERVICE THAT REQUIRES ME GIVING UP MY PASSWORDS. YOU CAN STILL DO WIRE BANK TRANSFERS BUT THEY ARE EXPENSIVE AND ADD TO THE COST OF YOUR SILVER PURCHASE. VERY SORRY THEY ADOPTED THIS SERVICE. I AM NOT SAYING "PLAID" IS A BAD SERVICE OR COMPANY, JUST NOT ONE THAT I CHOOSE TO USE TO BUY FROM SCOTTSDALE AND OTHERS TO PROCESS MY ORDERS.

like the preppers, I dont like the added cost they were 1.17 above spot when I purchased they always arrive quickly after the ach clears

The coins themselves were very beautiful but it took almost 5 weeks to get my order. Originally when I placed my order I was told 2-4 weeks. Then it went to 4-8 weeks after I sent an email of concern asking about the status of my order at the 3 1/2 week point. I was never sent any kind of update of a delay or problem with my order until I sent them an email. I was at a point where I was going to try and cancel my order and ask for my money back. Luckily they finally told me my order was being shipped.

The products are excellent and of perfect weight. Shipping is problematic. Packaging was excellent, but addressing was incomplete. I live where UPS & FedEx dare to go, but the post office will never deliver. -- My exact address was given, but shipped via USPS; fortunately, a sorter knew me and did not RETURN TO SENDER who used an incomplete address.

This transaction took a month for the items to be shipped to me. I will never use a e-check with them again. When the items finely arrived....I was pleased with the packaging. They usually offer good pricing....but if you pay by credit card....pricing is better on other websites.
