Schwab is struggling with recent market conditions, covid19 and very high trading volume. It has been increasingly difficult to get help, with hold times ranging from fifteen minutes to an astonishing two hours. This can be absolutely awful if you NEED help on an important financial transaction. For example I had an account with about $1100 of cash in it, but when I tried to transfer it out, it said "We were not able to complete the following transfer(s) or payment(s) from your account noted above because there were insufficient funds". Even the Schwab reps couldn't figure it out, and many phone calls later finally got it fixed. Total on-hold wait time in the dozens of hours. This situation is truly scary. We're not dealing with ordering take-out. This is my financial well-being at stake, and sometimes I really need quick help. For now at least, that is simply not possible.

An appalling customer service and web support, its normal to wait for more than 90 minutes on the telephone trying to reach the trading margin department or StreetSmart Edge technical support team. A lagging and buggy stocks trading platform called StreetSmart Edge, sometimes it take more than 30 seconds to place a stock purchase order, too many system crashes during market open first 60 minutes. absolutely bad experience.

Not sure why Schwab service has gone down hill but it has! They once were great to work with but now it's a miracle if you can get help via phone or a web chat. Wait times are 30min -1 hour on the phone or in front of computer for someone to respond. It unfortunate but probably will move accounts unless they fix this fast.

Terrible customer service. Called their support line and waited over 15 mins. Finally spoke to someone who just forwarded me to another team. The automated voice said it was going to be more than a 15 minute wait and suggested that I arrange a call back by pressing 1. I pressed 1 and tried to enter my UK phone number with the country code and it said it was invalid. After that, I couldn't back into the queue and it just hung up on me. So I just wasted almost half an hour. There's no way to message them from the dashboard either. The wire transfers are also far too slow. It said it would take an entire week to complete. Would recommend going with another broker.

When I started with Schwab mid-2020, their customer service was remarkably excellent. For the past few months, wait times are unacceptable (30 min to over an hour) and the ability of the reps to answer questions is noticeably worse too. On several occasions recently my questions have been answered with "hmm I'm not sure". With no offer to find out. On the occasions I have asked to be transferred, I have been disconnected. I think I will be moving my accounts soon because they are clearly too busy for my business.

Terrible experience My transfer was held for nearly a week. I spent an afternoon trying to contact the support team and the call was holding for many hours. Still couldn't contact to them.

Please stay away from this brokerage firm since 1. They lied from left to right, from top to the bottom. 2. They don't know what they are doing except ask 'investors' to DEPOSIT to the account 3. They will take retaliation on you when file complaint ( it's illegal but no one will took any action) 4. They had agents oversea who worked on your account so your personal info might be leaked out!

Phone hold time is hours and hours. I started on hold with my cell phone.. that went 1 hour 39 min... then that phone ran out of battery and turned off... on hold via land line right now... 51 min and counting....I know there fees and free, but half the time the phone app is down, or website trading is down. Most of the time, everything is messed up, all the time, during the current trading day. The extended hours is better, also thats a better time to call them. Outside market hours.....I gave up and yanked all my money out, will try another online trading account. Original problem was I sold 1 option 9:31am in the morning... no confirmation.. I tried to sell the option again at 9:32am... nothing showed for 45min then it showed -1 option.... my account would not let me buy it back... been on hold ever since. ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz.............
