Schwab locked me out of my mobile account with a HTTP404 error message and I'm losing thousands. Now I'm on hold with the Tech department not answering the phone as the Market drops dramatically. Outrageous. Law suit in the works!

After owning 3 C Schwab accounts for many years I found that when I needed them to help me track a transfer of funds in the amount of $33,000 they simply put me on hold over 8 international cell phone calls and never got back to me. Finally after 9 days I am told that they were verifying my account and under the Patriot At they did not have to tell me anything or send me notifications. Since I had already gone through a verification process on every call I made I doubt this is true. No apology, refund of call fees or any acknowledgment of what the delay of this transaction did to me. I will be moving on to somewhere else in 2 weeks.

I used to think their customer service was good. It went much worse in the last year. It’s not uncommon to get disconnected and get no callback which is very frustrating. Today I spent 1 hour speaking to representatives, waiting, only to hear “oh, actually we can’t do it on Saturday, call us on Monday”. And then they blocked my account. I feel like they are making my life miserable on purpose. All I’m trying to do is pay rent using Zelle. Update: when I called them on Monday, they told me they couldn’t verify my identity and had me go to their branch. At the branch after verifying my identity they made me call customer service again, it’s ridiculous. Took them an hour to unblock my account. Nobody was even able to say why they blocked my account in the first place. They said “we weren’t able to verify your identity”. Well, why don’t you try harder instead of wasting people’s time?

Please save yourself effort dealing with Schwab. If you decide to open an account with them they going to dig any available information on you to the point that you cannot even verify your identity when you simply place a call to them. Then they assemble so much that they get confused! I filled in the application with my current address but somehow they found that the address of my ex wife and sent my card to that address. Why are you making me to fill in a huge application and then send all my information and card to my ex? Save yourself some nerves and do not engage was this unprofessional company!

Never open a brokerage account with this company. They have their stupid rules that prevent you from trading whenever they want. You have money available in your account, but you cannot buy anything.

Charles Schwab is a POSh*t company. I withdrew all my funds and was going to roll it over with Fidelity. I was not given the instruction NOT to sign the check that was sent to me. Fidelity refused to accept the check because I signed the endorsement line. I then ask for a replacement check. It is now 10 working days since I was promised that a replacement is on its way: NO CHECK was ever received. I believe it is a delaying tactic so they can continue to invest the money, making all kind of BS excuses. I will never invest with Schwab again. The representatives sound nice and reassuring over the phone but they are not well trained in giving specific instructions and the DURATION on the arrival of the check. They keep blaming the post office. F C S just like F J B.

I contacted them about updating some important tax documents. It has now been 2 weeks+ and I haven't heard back from them. I also emailed an advisor directly, who is also not replying. That is honestly ridiculous.
