TD should have bought Charles Schwab not the other way around.
Forced to this platform due to buyout of TD Ameritrade, it is like going back at least 20 years in time. This is the worst app I have ever used, especially for trading stocks. I trade Penny stocks, and I can't even get a actual average, it is just rounded to the closest penny, This is unacceptable. If your platform can't figure numbers correctly this is a problem. So many other things wrong with the platform. They can't have professionals designing the platform and if they do they are the worst of the worst and just don't get trading and what a customer needs.

Terrible Fraud Department
My boyfriend fell for a phishing scam, and I walked in the room as he was giving away some account information on the phone. I warned him, and he hung up the phone.
He called Charles Schwab, where his bank account was. They could see that someone was already trying to transfer some money out of his account. He asked to get a new checking account number. They said OK, but it would take 4 days. They told him to keep logging in to the account to make sure no other weird things were going on.
So, he tried to log in to see if the fraudulent transfer had been removed. Couldn't log in. Called back. "Oh, while your account is locked, you can't log in."
So, no access to the account, no way to see anything or get any money for four days. No debit card.
Four days goes by. He calls on the phone to see what is going on. The first person said they would be happy to reset his password. No! Need a new account number. The second person said it was still in process and might take another day or two, no reason given. He said he would try to get the right department person to call. Why weren't we speaking to the right person?
Received phone call from the original person who said she would get a new account number. First she wanted to verify his information. Every bank tells you that to avoid scams, Never Ever give your account information to someone who calls you. You must call them, at the regular number. Well, here she was, asking him for account information. We recognized her voice, and she recognized his, so she said that was good enough. Which is not a secure way to run a business.
She said he must get his computer virus scanned before he could get a new account number. He must take his computer to a place like Best Buy, get a virus scan, get a receipt, and send the receipt to Schwab. That would be the first step of several towards getting a new account number. He told her that he was in the hospital, had been in the hospital for 3 weeks, and had been too sick to use his computer for months. This is all true. She didn't care, she said he must do that or they wouldn't give him a new account number.
She did not ask if he had a computer. She did not ask how many computers he has. What if he had 2 or 3 and only got one scanned? She did not ask for any information that would lead one to believe he had a virus. He got phished.
When asked why she didn't say this 4 days ago, she said, "I just found out." Meaning, she probably hadn't done anything in four days.
He could have closed the account 4 days ago, and opened a new account, and Schwab would have welcomed him with open arms. Instead, he got an account at another bank.

Love TD Ameritrade, Hate Schwab
Love TD Ameritrade. Schwab bought it and totally screwed up the transfer of the my 3 minor children’s accounts. Their grandparents set them up and I had full control UNTIL the transfer. Somehow that full control didn’t get transferred. They won’t fix it, and act like I’m trying to steal my children’s accounts. I was sent paperwork for “Full account trading authority” I sent it back after grandparents signed off, it’s just sitting there “ under review” for the last 8 weeks. This company is a NIGHTMARE to deal with. They talk a good game but that’s all it is. Talk. Do not put your money with these people. I’m not sure how I’ll ever get access until my mom passes away ( she is the owner, but also has dementia) and even then I suspect I’ll have to battle them in court. Schwab will make your financial life hell.

Outdated features and UI
Outdated features and UI. I started my wife's Roth there because she wanted to buy fractional shares, and was immediately and overwhelmingly disappointed in their platform.
To make matters worse, when I found out they were acquiring TD Ameritrade, I naively just assumed Schwab would just slap it's branding on TD's far superior platform and call it a day. Just recently found out that I assumed wrong. Instead I'm going to have to deal with Schwab's garbage platform. Back to the drawing board.

they closed my account by setting the account to liquidation without stating why after 10 years. It take a while to acat to another broker and we lost a lot of money not being able to close out trade efficiently.
I advise against doing business with them. They pay little interest on cash so another reason to stay away.

Since Schwab bought TD Ameritrade the service is terrible. TD Ameritrade was a great platform and Schwab axed it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
