I love this bank. No annual fees, no minimum account balance, free ATM withdrawals, and they treat you like a premium client even when you are down on your luck. Customer support is clearly based in America, and they go above and beyond. I have never had a problem with Schwab, and after recent frustrations with Chase I feel the need to share how much I recommend this bank.

I have nothing but compliments for this amazing bank. They serve both as a awesome checking account with interest as well as an investor account. They have outstanding customer service from anywhere in the world over their website or phone. They do not charge a penny on foreign transactions. As a world traveler this is essential for my needs. ATM charges they refund every fee around the globe as well. I've been thrilled with them now for well into five years.

I'm not very knowledgeable with investing so I initially went with Edward Jones and stayed with them for over ten year's until I came to the reality of their high fee's consuming my wealth. So I switched over to Charles Schaub over a year ago now because of their low fee's. I found out that Charles Schaub is much more helpful with their one on one service with out the high fee expense.

Recently wanted to get started with investing and looked at a couple of different platforms before deciding that Charles Schwab had the best user interface out of all of them, transferring money to a retirement account was a easy and painless process. Had an issue with logging in and the representative that helped me, Brendon Cook, was super great! He was professional, friendly and helped me long on while guiding me to where I should set up 2FA so I don't have to go through this again, and also answered all my questions about opening other accounts. Great experience!

I reviewed the negative reviews and my experience is different. I open my first account with Schwab in Florida in the 1980's and I have been with them since. I tried other Financial / Brokerage firms, with mixed success. SERVICE. As perfect as it goes, I always been able to talk to a real person, if the broker is not available, someone else will try to help. Everyone over all these years has been friendly. INTEREST RATE: Several comments of Schwab not paying interest or little. Well this is true on the Cash Accounts or the problem maybe that they offer too many choices. You can get CD's fro many banks paying from 4% to 5.13. But at this time you can do better then blocking your money for a year. Schwab SWVXX offers a 5.13% (that was a few days ago) and you can close you investment within 48 hours. Are we tempted sometimes (I am) to jump and give a negative review when something goes wrong but not when it is right?

Schwab has the best free checking account. I like the free ATM perk.

I’ve been with Charles Schwab since 2006. While they were behind the times then, they made up for it with excellent customer service which is why I kept them as my main banking. Since then, they have really grown significantly technology-wise, and really love their current features in both banking and trading/investment. What I want to highlight today is that I purchased a house today and closing people are panicking at 9:17 since they didn’t get their money for closing. Since I was still reviewing and negotiating items to be fixed, I did not request a wire until 9:43. Closing agents got their money before 10:17. This isn’t the first time that Schwab has performed beyond expectations. They performed well beyond expectations each time. I have bought 4 properties in last 20 years, have made numerous wire transfers, and Charles Schwab has always performed beyond expectations with their responsiveness.
