Transphobia kept me from closing on my house. I transgendered male, called in to ask for a form so I could close on my new home. The person on the other line felt that my female sounding voice meant I was not the person, despite knowing and having all the proper information. He said my account was locked and he would call back. I then went on my account again and tried asking chat and they said it was also locked. So, I called again and all I need was a form, simple form saying that I withdrew money to use as a downpayment in my new home and they kept saying they could not access my account, but saw on the account they could not access that someone would reach out. But my account was locked. Finally asked my Cis Male best friend to call and ask for the form to be uploaded, because without it I could not close on my new home. Funny, he got the form and all was good, because he had a male sounding voice.

They hire thin skinned clowns who don't have a clue or any compassion for the customers that pay their salary. A simple phone call request to unlock my debit card that I locked via the portal the day before, turned into 8 separate phone calls each requiring me to play the 20 questions game. By the end of the day, the low life bottom feeders they pay peanuts to provide phone support never unlocked my debit card, but they managed to block my ability to login to my brokerage account out of spite. Granted the brokerage portal access has nothing to do with my debit card operated by separate banking department. I'm the customer that had the problem with their service and they caught the attitude. They started giving one liner mandates saying I now have to go to a branch to verify, and they knew it was a Saturday. So all Saturday and Sunday, I have no access to the majority of my money and stocks, talk about unnecessary anxiety. I will file multiple complaints and leave reviews on every review site I can find. On Monday all assets will be transferred to their competitors. More regulation or cyber-trucks is needed for sure.

This is my latest interaction with CS web platform. Over the past four years I have nothing but headache dealing with the issue after issue that other investment platform I utilize provide in just few clicks. The latest one was the fact the the platform will not provide consolidated accounts statement. That's asinine! Rather they suggest that I download each account statement individually and collate in .pdf

I wish i had never deposited any money with them. Be very wary. They let you take some very easily but make it as hard as they can to get the rest. If they had respond favorably to my email so a swift resolution can be reached, i would have given them a second chance but really, i've never experienced such an awkward, un-intuitive platform and an odd data-sparce set-up. So Schwab... if you read this.. expecting a nice Ayr'Lp cased filed against you. Ticket number #3071068

Been a customer for ~30 years and always been really good service. However, just got worst service I ever had from an FS company. Trying to wire money(USD) to an international HSBC account I have wired to before. Schwab system wont accept HSBC in Singapore as a receiving bank!! Phoned Schwab Customer Service (who only work on PST timezone) and the lady says shes been working at Schwab for a year and seen this error several times. No idea what the problem is and only advice is to use a different bank to wire to. Or wait and it might start working again in the future. Not going to help or do anything further!!!

RUN FROM CHARLES SCHWAB THE MOST HORRIFIC COMPANY DO NOT TRUST CHARLES SCHWAB. They are the WORST company in the world. They control your money and deliberately create so many problems in a vengeful attempt to sabotage you. Not only will they illegally and secretly go into your account and do whatever they want with your money, they hold your money hostage and steal your money and block you from accessing your account. They made me drive and waste hours to go to a local branch to verify my identity stating my mom was pretending to be me! They said once they verified it was me, my account would be unlocked. When I got to the branch they verified me but said they still couldn’t do anything and my account was locked and escalated for investigation. Previously my parents had POA and full trading authority on my accounts since rhey opened these accounts for me when I was born and it was all gifted to me. Somehow Schwab illegally removed both my dad and mom from POA and full trading authority on my accounts without my consent then sent me a letter saying I requested this but I never did and there is no verbal or written consent from me. They secretly did this on my and my brother’s accounts too. They locked my accounts and even the customer service reps have no access. They are the most horrific and vengeful company this planet has ever seen. And this is after they closed all of my parent’s accounts there. My parents had multi-million dollars invested at Schwab then Schwab made a “business decision” to close all of their accounts so my parents had to transfer all their assets out. Now they are trying to do the same thing to me but they are first stealing my money and preventing any online payments or checks from being paid. I have no access to my accounts and they refuse to release my money holding my money hostage. Schwab’s illegal actions must be exposed. From what I’ve read this is typical of what Schwab does to their loyal clients. DO NOT TRUST SCHWAB WITH YOUR MONEY. GET OUT OF SCHWAB BEFORE THIS HAPPENS TO YOU

Terrible Company. Schwab website is constantly down due to scheduled maintenance. I have lost thousands of dollars during weekend long maintenance on thinkorswim platform. Ridiculous for the site to be unavailable for over 48 hours at a time.

I created a business account with TD then it was moved to Schwab which I hated before and that was the reason I did not choose them in the first place. Then when the account was transferred, they blocked my account. nightmare, I don't recommend using these guys. I am moving my account to another company early next year.
