Going forward, rest assured that any host treating guests this way will find themselves no longer on the platform. Original Company Reply: We’re so sorry to hear about your experience, that’s absolutely not the standard we expect from any of our hosts. If your booking was confirmed, you should never have been left without accommodations and we completely understand how stressful that must have been. We’ll be reaching out to you directly by email to gather a few more details so we can investigate what happened with this host and ensure it doesn’t happen again. We’ll also be contacting the host right away to review how your reservation was handled. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and again, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this caused.

Earlier this year we introduced the requirement for hosts to connect through a certified software partner so we can ensure real-time pricing and availability for travelers. Thank you for your feedback and we’re sorry for any confusion! Savvy connects travelers directly with hosts, so questions about on-site matters like construction can only be confirmed by the host which is why we referred you to them. Since we didn’t hear back after our reply, we assumed you were able to connect with them directly. In the future, if a host doesn’t respond, our team is always happy to step in and follow up so you’re not left without an answer. We appreciate you sharing this experience and will continue working to make that clearer for our travelers. Thank you again!

Updated Company Response: March 22, 2026: Hi Jill - I assure the program is real. If you haven’t already, we’d still love to get you your $50 rebate. Please simply touch base with the support team at the email below. It sounds as though you may be a little confused about Savvy. Please let me explain. We are a “book direct” vacation rental marketplace that allows savvy travelers to easily find vetted professionally hosted vacation rentals and then book them directly without a middleman - saving hundreds on every stay. Better rates. Better hospitality. Any fees charged by the host still apply on Savvy (just as they do on Airbnb & Vrbo). The fees that don’t apply are the 15-20% in platform booking fees that Airbnb/Vrbo charge and we don’t. So while you did end up booking directly with Evolve, that’s not a bug, it’s a feature, and it should have saved you several hundred dollars (plus the $50 rebate!). Hope you give us another opportunity! Original Company Response: Thank you for the feedback and we’re sorry for the confusion around your booking and rebate. Updated Company Response: March 23, 2026. Hi Casey - We so appreciate your savviness in wanting to list your property on Savvy.com. Unfortunately, to be of any value to hosts, we have to first be valuable to travelers. If we have no travelers, we can’t provide value to hosts. And to be valuable to travelers we need to provide them with real-time rates & availability - reservation requests won’t cut it. To achieve that we unfortunately can only accept properties onto our platform that use a software system that we are connected to. If that changes for you, please reach out as we’d love to have you. Original Company Reply: Thank you for your feedback. We did reply to your inquiry back in July and explained that Savvy requires hosts to connect through one of our certified software partners to ensure a seamless experience for both guests and hosts. We’re sorry for any confusion this may have caused and appreciate your interest in partnering with us. If your setup changes in the future, we’d love the chance to work together. Thank you again!

Updated Company Response: March 23, 2026 Hello Lake Vacation Rentals - We’re so sorry for this confusion. It must have been a glitch in the machine (a “bug” in the code if you will). We have onboarded nearly 3,000 property managers representing 150,000 properties and have not had this problem with any other accounts. It seems a setting must have been triggered or something. So sorry for the frustration that caused. The code base is pretty dialed now 8 months later as this problem has not occurred since. We’d be happy to add your beautiful lake front properties back on the site if you are ever interested. And again, sorry for the stress this caused you. If you need us, we’re here.
