I booked the 11 day Machu Picchu/Easter Island trip. I did it fairly last minute. Alan was very kind and helpful. All the hotels were clean and staff was kind. All of our transportation guides & drivers were pleasant. Santiago Airport was poorly run and not well kept (that is not SA Vacations fault, just a heads up for the next traveler. ) My Easter Island flight got rescheduled and Stefany (my guide in Chile) was extremely helpful. She made sure my transportation was still on time and the rest of chile experience went smoothly. Only 2 things to note that could use improvement. One, the tour guides in Easter Island and one for Cusco did a very poor job speaking in English for the English-Speaking tours. Two, Martha was quite difficult to get in contact with. She had a much different demeanor than her husband and not a lot of patience. Luckily, Alan balanced that out. They make a good team. Overall, a little bit expensive but also a fun experience.

The tours were really nice and the tour guides really knew there stuff very informative all 3 countries Brazil, Argentina and Peru were fantastic, if you want a fun filled trip book with Alan & Martha Cohen,they are the best!!!!!!

We had a very good experience with South American Vacations. The package offered (Machu-Picchu & Easter Island) was about the right length to be able to enjoy the areas if you have limited time (e.g. 2 weeks). The South American Vacations team was very responsive and addressed all our questions and concerns. Their partners in Peru and Chile provided us with an excellent service. Several options provided for accommodations and tour services, we took the 3 star options, and everything was very good in all the places we visited. The size of the tour groups was a concern for us, as we do not like big groups; our groups were not bigger than 15 people.

The agents at South American Vacations were quite friendly, professional, and helpful with any changes or modifications to our tours itinerary due to the limitations on our travel days. The tours were extremely enjoyable and we love our experience. We highly recommend South American Vacations, and are going to utilize them in our future trips.

The tours and guides were excellent! Service was good except in the Hotel Andina Classic Miraflores Centro in Lima. We make two collect telephone calls to US due to unexpected circumstances and it was accepted by the US. The Hotel in Lima charged us $ 83.00 US dollars for not letting them know we make the international calls. I tried to talk to the Manager of the Hotel and he was not present in the early morning when we checked out! Not very professional in handling customers, Judy

While working in Chile we decided to visit Easter Island and Machu Picchu. We used SAVacations to arrange our travels.. They booked airline reservations, hotels and tours.All went according to plan. We chose 3 star hotels which were great. We were met at all airports and tour guides were always on time. We would definitely use SA Vacations again for travel to South America.

Good quality of personal attention was given to our travel needs that included Air travel and hotel accommodations within Chile. The tour excursions were wonderful. Overall my wife and I had a very enjoyable and memorable tour of Chile.

Martha helped us create our custom trip to Peru and through at least 3 different itineraries, with many changes in dates and locations. Throughout the 4-week planning process, she was professional, responsive and very helpful. Travelling at Christmastime can be difficult, but Martha was able to create a package that was not over-the-top expensive, but still 4-5 star. The tour guides (Viajes Pacifico) on the ground in Peru were also fantastic. They were knowledgable, friendly and were well-respected among the locals. We felt like we were treated like VIPs all the way.
