Saltwaterfish.comReviews of saltwaterfish.com

Receive fish that way smaller then stated they listed the fish from 2.5 to 3.5 inches I get it only 2inches. It died after two weeks. Emailed them and told them the problem they offer to refund the different for the size but never get anything back that been two weeks ago and after week from the email the fish died. Will never buy anything from saltwaterfish.com.

Lousy experience, they failed to ship as promised on TWO occasions. I took off work both of those days.

I ordered a Long Horn Baby cowfish. I found out 2 days later that the Baby cowfish did not pass inspection for shipping! Very upset. They took them off the website immediately! How can this happen in the first place must mean they have unhealthily fish. They should of not had them on the website to sell BUYER BEWARE. I hope this helps someone

Fish arrived DOA. Nothing done about it.

Very poor customer service, my order was botched, and I can nott contact customer service, buyers beware!

I just spent 1 week messing with saltwaterfish.com, and their manager "Mary" finally told me she could not help. They notified me a fish was in stock, I was waiting on a clown trigger, I ordered it. they sent me an email it was not in stock and to select a replacement so I went online and selected some other fish. they emailed me not in stock. I tried calling the line rings and rings, must be like 20 times, I get online and chat with "Chrissy" she reiterates the same thing "those fish are not available" ok I requested alternative fish that were a few dollars off. Chrissy says due to the inconvenience she will credit the small difference. I feel good about my purchase. then comes the request for more money, so I get back online ( this is like 2 hours of my life I want back) I get Mary she says she is the manager and says "we can't credit you that!!!" I say ok Chrissy said she would. well we can't. I am busy at work so I go work. I get an email we checked your chat and Chrissy informed you of the charge (bold faced lie) we can cancel your order or you can pay the difference. I probably should have paid but just got ticket I get back online and Get Amanda she says Mary is out, I say I am thinking about canceling my order all together. she cancels it and actually has the nerve to say happy holidays. do not ever order from Saltwaterfish.com... just saying I called my local fish store and they ordered my clown trigger for a few dollars more and so much better customer service.

The worst fish company ever. My first order was over $200, and one of the fish was dead on arrival. They refused to ship replacement or refund my money because it was a "free" item that was part of a promotion. Over the next 2 weeks, several of the other fish died. I did get store credit for those, but I had t spend another $55 to pay for taxes and shipping again. I received my "replacements" today, and 1 is dead on arrival, and 2 are floating sideways; i sincerely doubt they will survive. Also, like in my first shipment, you can tell some of the water was medicated due to the yellowish color of the water, but there was no note or indication advising of such. This company will not provide store credit again for product that was paid for with store credit. So essentially, you order from this company, receive bad product, and they will not stand behind those bad items. Also dealing with their customer service people, they refuse to budge on anything. Don't waste your money!!!! There are several other online fish companies that I have worked with that are much easier and ship healthy quality fish.

Recently placed an order I would not have placed because it offered a free flame angel that I really wanted. 170.00 later, all the fish show up fine except the Flame angel which is floating upside down in the bag barely alive. Tried everything to bring it back but it died. I filed a request and explained I would really like to have them replace the fish and would even place an order so they could replace him and not have to cover shipping. Their response.....sorry free items are not covered by the guarantee. Makes me think, maybe they get a batch of sick fish, offer them free if you order and then bail on you when it shows up dead or dying. Just a thought. I will never do business with them again. ***I did reach out to you and the canned response above , not unlike your canned response below is what I received. You have all my emails on file showing my willingness to work with you on a replacement. You should check your records before trying to write this survey response off with your canned response.
