Before reading this, be aware, I am totally happy with my order, but it wasn't without its hiccups. (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) This was my first time ordering from Saltwaterfish.com and I was very skeptical. After paying for a Sat arrival, I received a voicemail stating that my order couldn't be delivered due to weather- I was even more skeptical at this point. It found it impossible to get through to anyone to re-schedule my delivery via phone. (on hold 30+ min numerous times) I sent an email and left a voice message with NO response. When I finally got through to SWF, (via chat) my order got changed to the end of the next week with barely an apology. Yeah, I wasn't too happy at this point. Once my order arrived, I have to admit, I was very impressed. Everything arrived alive, with the exception of one fish, (out of 5) which was upside down and barely breathing. (The bag had little air in it.) He died about 2 hours after arrival. I had NO ISSUES getting a full refund. The process wasn't difficult or time consuming at all and the refund was almost immediate!! Great Customer Service!! (once you can actually talk to someone) Chat reps were available to immediately answer my questions. The fish I got are decent size and appear very healthy. The starfish I ordered is very tiny, but appears to be fine. Customer service needs improvement on response... However, Chat seems to be monitored well. Amanda via chat was friendly and helpful when I contacted her about my order issues. SWF also refunded the $15 Sat delivery fee since my order was delayed. A+ I WILL order here again. Order arrived on time but contents were cold. Stock appears to be ok but I will know better in a day or two. Drip acclaimed fish were sluggish. I need a least a week to decide if I will order again. It has been one week and all are doing well. All are eating except the Green War Paint Goby or at least I have not observed him eating. As of today I would order again.

Pros... They stand good on their 15 day guaranteent. Cons.... They don't let you count the store credits of dead fish towards free shipping on your next order😥 I rate at a 4 but if the store credit of lost fish could be applied to the amount to get free shipping on next order I would rate a 5!

Dint have the fish I was looking for but nevertheless good

We bought a wrasse and couple red mandarin gobys. Sales prices were a good deal,

First package with Nano Grouper, Linkia Star, and many cleanup crew was lost by Fedex. Second package got here on a sat.(24hrs late) which fedex said would not happen. Good thing because the water was at 55 degrees and nothing was moving any more time and there would have been loss. Fish looked dead but I saw the gills barely move. Floated bags to get temp up and started acclimation. Could see fish gills start moving more but no other movement. An hour later the fish was actually swimming around. Now in quarantine the fish looks dark and healthy hiding under some live rock I put in there for cover. Also, once the temp in the invert bags started to rise every single invert started moving and looking lively. Put the inverts in some tank water in a bucket and all survived even the linkia starfish which is now moving around my show tank with vigor. I would like to thank Chrissy and the rest of the staff for taking care of my issue promptly and courteously. My only complaint is with FedEx. There are other carriers out there that do a much better job of dealing with livestock during shipping, I would highly consider choosing another carrier or at least giving the customers the option to pay extra for a different carrier as FedEx has a horrible track record with being on time, especially with livestock. I give Saltwaterfish.com and their staff an A+ but I give FedEx an F for failing to deliver the first package and almost letting everything freeze on the second delivery which was 1 day late. I have a feeling most of the negative reviews having to do with this and other online retailers of livestock have a lot to do with FedEx and not the actual company shipping the livestock. I will buy from saltwaterfish.com again, but I will request a different shipping company to handle the package even if it costs a little more.
