Live stock arrived barely alive, one fish was dead, lost 2 others just days later, some snails were dead already and hermit crabs, will not buy live stock online again, this was a first and last time, first impressions are huge, I would rather pay a couple dollars more to hit the local Fish store where I can observe the fish up close and see how they are before purchase, the BS you have to go through to get refund or replacement of Fish that may have same out come due to shippers poor quality water or diseases is just not worth anyone’s time. Buyer beware for any live online shopping.

DO NOT BUY YOUR FISH HERE! I purchased 2 Royals and a shrimp recently through this website. Upon arrival, the shrimp was smashed and dead out of the box. When I pulled the two royals out one was completely upside down. Not sure if any of you know this, but upside down non moving fish is generally a bad sign. The second royal was grasping to life. I immediately began acclimating them to the QT tank I have set up. I went above and beyond to even attempt to bring both, yes the upside down one as well, back to what some would call life. I took picture of the whole thing. Unopened bags of dead or almost dead fish. Done. I followed every step of their acclimation process.... making sure I could cross my Ts so they couldn’t counter their “guarantee” they claim to uphold. 6 hours later, shrimp is dead. Both royals are floating at the top of their acclimation chambers not doing anything at all. So. I contact saltwater.com sent the picture of my dead and expensive product. Took them out. Snapped picture on a piece of paper. Sent them in. DONE! I should have no issue getting my money returned to me. WRONG. I was told to provide more information. So. I did just that. Have them a step by step of what was done from opening the box to a dark room and drip acclimating them for hours. Sent more pictures of my smashed shrimp and upside down royals. DONE! I mean how much simpler can it be. NOPE! I was told again to provide more information. It’s nothing but beating around the bush to ensure you miss that “one day guarantee” window so they could just give you store credit. AND I STILL CANT GET THAT EVEN. DO NOT BUY YOUR FISH FROM SALTWATER.COM. Period. Save yourself the hassle, pay more in the shipping and just go buy them online at LiveAquaria. An ACTUAL reputable company that will refund you for DOA’s. This place is a joke money thieving scheme show. Keep the change you filthy animals.

This is what I emailed them after they only shipped half my order "Cancel both orders How can you think its acceptable to ship me a convict tang, and hold the NASO tang until later???? If anything, the CONVICT tang has to be completely last tang in my aquarium Who do you think you are shipping half of my stuff. Literally the most important things, the only reason why I bought the other stuff, was because of the male anthias, and the lunar wrasse and the naso tang. You literally sold all 3 out from under me AFTER I secured them???? How do you decide that you are just going to ship the cheap half so that I have to make a long drive to go pick up, and then wait indefinitely while you hold my money, wondering when the half of fish I actually really wanted, finally shows up??? Not even a message from you apologizing, or a store credit, just taking it upon yourself to do it and hope I notice the receipt."

The only reason I made this order Is because they are holding refund money as credit. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM..... everytime I buy the fish are DOA they keep holding money and recharging me 9.99 boxing and 39 shipping. Buyer beware......

I bought from this company twice, the 2nd time was because I got store credit instead of a refund. 1st order 2 of the 3 fish were dead. I didn't know you had to report that asap. I reported the next morning but was later than the deadline so I got store credit. 2nd order I bought no fish just live coral and 2 feather dusters. Both feather dusters dead, both out of their jackets and not responding to touch or other fish touching them. I have to file a 2nd claim to try and get my money back this time. The coral I got were very tiny, not even close to what was described they were the size if a nickel. I do not recommend anyone buying from them, they will disappoint u every time.

How this place has any positive reviews is amazing to me. If you are looking for good customer service and a place to stand behind their product look elsewhere. They have tons of loop holes in their “guarantee” to make their money back and a lot more. Save your time and your money and shop elsewhere.

Posting again because my review was deleted. Half my order arrived DOA. After fighting with customer service sending the pictures they require for a refund they didnt give a full store credit for the total doa. Only to find out that a week later after I reviewed a 1 star they removed all of my credit. Then said they would give my credit back after I change my raiting to a 5 star. So be warned of the company you are dealing with.

I made my first large order online and of course it goes wrong in every way. I never received my order and they said it would be refunded to my bank. A while later after getting no refund email or update they said I would only be getting store credit. This website scammed me. I just want my money back. No way am I okay with spending another cent on this website. Update: Using store credit you still have to pay $40 for shipping. The support tried to sabotage my order by sending it to the furthest po, said it would be my fault if the fish died (even though they choose the location for me). Some fish arrived dead, I would have to pay another $40 to reship the same 3 fish. Bs endless money pit. DO NOT USE THIS SITE. OTHER SITES EVEN HAVE BETTER PRICES/POLICIES
