Scam Artist company
Scam Artist company. I did not want the service, because I could not afford it, but after 2 hours of listening to a smooth talking salesman, who said he would reduce the cost to $5 a month, I stupidly accepted. First he said it would go up to $80/m after 6 months, so I said I can't do that, repeating for the 40th time that I can't afford that payment, so he said he would make it permanent, because he just wanted to have his sign in my front yard. Months later I noticed I was being charged the $80, so I called the company, and of course they were very busy, so I had to get in their call-back que. After getting a person on the phone, he had to transfer me to someone else, but first asked me what the "pass code" was, and of course I had no idea. I had not only never got a copy of any contract, or told of any "pass code" but never recieved a single billing statement. When I could not tell him the pass code, he gave me very clear hints until I got it. Kind of strange, don't you think? Not very "secure", if you ask me. So then he passed me to another person, who did the same thing, and passed me to yet another person. By this time I was fuming, 100% sure that this is a scam company, and when the 3rd lady refused to cancel my service, I completely lost it and started screaming at her. She said she wasn't going to talk to me if I was going to scream, so I said, fine, I will put a stop on my credit card, and block any further payments. After a month went by and no one had come to get their equipment, I saw that a neighbor posted on our neighborhood website nearly the exact same story [minus the screaming]-a promise of $5/ month, then raised it after 6 months, though he had understood that it would stay at $5. He said they wanted to make him buy out the contract for $1900. I'm guess that is also what they were going to demand of me, but I started screaming before they could tell me, and we never got that far before I hung up. On the same website, same thread, there were a few complaints about another security service as well, where they were told they were under a long term contract when they tried to cancel, which they did not understand at the time they signed up. BUYER BEWARE!
