Bought a Saddlemen seat for my Harley, worst fitting seat I've ever owned. large gap between the seat and tank. Contacted them and their vendor (Knobcycles of KC - boy is Knob an accurate descriptor). Sent them picture compared to the original seat and another seat that I had on the same bike - no one was willing to take responsibility for the poor fitting seat. I'm stuck with a $225 loss and a piece of crap that I would never put on my bike. Beware Saddlemen quality control is crap and so is their customer service!

Don’t trust Saddlemen
Be careful ordering from their website. They knowingly falsely advertise products. They sent me a rain cover that is a different style, material and securing mechanism than advertised online. Basically a cheap POS was sent to me. They acknowledged it wasn’t what was advertised but said if it fits it’s correct. They then said if I wanted to return it I was responsible for return shipping. Currently disputing charges on my card. Not a trustworthy company.

First ant foremost you spend 600$ on a seat that is supposed to be genuine leather ends up wrinkling three years later, and has been well kept.To find out saddlemen will do nothing about it because it is out of warranty. Sent them pictures were the seat That Looks like waves coming into shore from the ocean. Personally me, I would not recommend buying saddlemen.

Horrible Customer Service
I ordered a road sofa for my Harley Street Glide, specifically requesting all whisper (no perforations) and a black thumb screw for the seat. It takes several weeks, and when the seat was delivered last week, I opened the box to find it had perforations and a chrome thumb screw instead. At first, I thought I had made a mistake when ordering, but after checking the invoice, it was clear that they had sent the wrong order entirely.
The next day, I called to request a replacement seat, and they agreed. I also asked for a return shipping label to be sent as soon as possible since my wife and I were going on vacation. When the label didn’t arrive, I sent an email but received no response. So, I called again, emphasizing the urgency of getting the label because we were leaving for vacation the next day.
The person I spoke to, named Scott, responded that their return process doesn’t revolve around my vacation schedule. When I expressed frustration with his comment, he told me to stop "coming at him." I then calmly asked if they could accommodate a special request to expedite the label, considering the significant errors they had made on my order. He seemed annoyed but put me on hold to check. After 30 minutes, he came back, likely surprised I was still waiting, only to inform me that they couldn’t accommodate my request.
This was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I will never buy from them again, nor will I recommend them to any of my biking friends. Stay away from Saddlemen.

DO NOT RECOMMEND Saddlemen quick release system.
Update to my earlier review:
Insured my bike already for the 2024 season. EVERY ride the Saddlemen quick release system pops the saddlebags off the post (both sides) which leaves the bags to hang on the other support. Waste of time, money and a huge pain every time I go for a ride. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on these. It's a poorly designed system, cheap parts and not very good customer service. I trashed the Saddlemen quick release system and put on a different one and what a difference. The quality of the components with my new system is amazing, the system is way more reliable and it looks nicer on the bike. Too bad I wasted almost $200 on the Saddlemen system and the time it took to mount them, then had to spend more to get a system that actually works :( At least I know the bags are secure now and are no longer a pain in the butt. If I could give Saddlemen no stars I definitely would.
Original post:
I purchased brand new jumbo Saddlemen bags for my bike, along with the quick release system for them which was NOT cheap. Right after installing them on my bike one of the quick release locks kept popping off the post whether there was weight in the bag or not. It took me a long time to persuade the company to send me a replacement quick release for the faulty one but they finally did. Over the past couple weeks the other quick release locks are popping off now. The quick release system is crap and not worth the money spent. I'm not going to bother with the company again because it was a painful experience getting the first faulty replacement part and I'm sure any replacement one will fail as well so not worth the time. Now I have to alter the bags so they don't have the quick release option, which sucks! Or I can trash them and buy a product that actually works. Either choice is not great and will cost me more money. I DO NOT recommend these bags at all.

Similar experience that another…
Similar experience that another reviewer had…The quick release system was cheap and after 1 season one of the quick release post/clips failed. The clip pops out constantly whether there is weight in the bag or not. I contacted Saddlemen, via 4 emails with no response from the company as of yet, kind of irritated that they can take close to $500.00 dollars and not respond to a customer. The bags had only been used less than one season so I was not happy at having to buy the replacement part for what was an obvious defect. Several emails ….. no response! I won’t ever recommend or purchase another product unles they decide to make it right but not holding my breathe this review will get their attention
