Ricky, I am sorry to hear you were so disappointed. When you checked out to buy this product, you had to select your shipping option which would only be "Special order shipping" and states "Usually ship within 1 week but some parts may take longer (2-3 weeks)" - as we do always inform customers before they buy if an item is not in stock and has to be special ordered. The $23 price is exactly the same price we are charged for shipping on special order parts unfortunately. We would lower it if we could, but its a set price for all special order parts regardless of size, unless its much bigger like a door or a whole unit which have increased shipping prices.

Diane, we are bummed to see the 1 star review when we acted fast to ship you a new one as soon as we heard it was delivered broken by a 3rd party carrier (USPS). Since you have PO Box delivery address, we can only ship USPS rather than more reliable shipping company like UPS. We appreciate your feedback about providing more secure packaging. I do hope the rest of your experience was satisfactory ie. finding the part you need on our website, customer service, etc.
