I received someone else’s order
I received someone else’s order, and when I called the number on the invoice (which belonged to another customer), I was able to contact them and found out they had actually received my shoes. I then contacted Running Warehouse customer service. Unfortunately, the customer service experience was extremely disappointing — I’d rate it around 2/5. The staff member who answered sounded like he had just woken up from a nap. I actually had to ask whether I had called the correct number because there was no greeting or any indication that I had reached the company. Usually, when answering a customer service call, you would expect something along the lines of, “Hi, Running Warehouse, how can I help you?” I explained the situation and advised that I wanted a refund because I needed the shoes urgently and wasn’t prepared to wait another three days for a replacement. He was happy to process the refund, which I appreciated. However, when I asked for an email confirmation of the refund, he asked me what I needed it for. 🤦♀️ Given that the company had sent my order to the wrong customer and I was already having to spend my time sorting it out, I think asking for written confirmation of the refund was a completely reasonable request. The refund itself was handled, but the overall customer service experience could have been significantly better. No apology sounds like this is a normal for them
