Flatline harness brilliant for an escapee but poor quality!
We bought a Ruffwear flatline harness 6 months ago as the extra belly strap gave us confidence our anxious dog wouldn't wiggle out of it - this has happened too often with harnesses with one belly strap. It has been brilliant in holding him securely but sadly the quality isn't great. We don't do anything extreme with our dog. Walks are in local parks and established footpaths in the countryside. He is never off lead. The fabric on our harness however, has become frayed at every seam and the edges of the straps, and on top it has faded and become threadbare. Given the very high cost of the harness we are really disappointed. I anticipate we will need to replace it before we've had it a year. Given it's superb ability to securely hold our dog we would probably consider another harness but I'm afraid we would also be forced to look at alternatives first.
