Hi Doug, it sounds like part of this review may be about another company. We’re a dealer and don’t supply other kitchen sellers.
Your only order with us was for three cabinets. You placed it on the 27th, we shipped it on the 29th, and it was delivered on the 30th. We also helped you get a lower shipping rate when you called.
After delivery, you emailed that the cabinets “look great,” but said you had misread the overlay dimensions and needed a different size to match your existing cabinets. We responded with the return policy for the unopened cabinets, and offered to set up the return.

I had a very disappointing experience with RTA Wood Cabinets and JSI Cabinetry and would not recommend them based on my horrific experience.
I placed my order on June 29 with an expected delivery date of July 17. However, the manufacturer did not even ship the order until July 16. It became clear that RTA and the manufacturer, JSI, had not effectively communicated customer expectations or the project timeline.
When I tried to hold RTA accountable for the delays, instead of receiving helpful customer service, I was yelled at and was told I would need to pay approximately $1,000 for private delivery if I wanted to resolve the situation more quickly.
The problems did not end there. My project was delayed by weeks, items were missing from the order, and design decisions were made without consulting me as the customer. To add insult to injury, the manufacturer would not ship the missing items when asked due to operational barriers. For a significant home investment, I expected much better communication, organization, professionalism, and attention to detail.
The entire experience was unnecessarily stressful, frustrating, and ruined invaluable time with family. Based on what I experienced, I would not use RTA Wood Cabinets or JSI again. If you value clear communication, reliable timelines, good customer service, and peace of mind when making a major investment in your home, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

We’re disappointed to see this review, as several of the statements do not match our records or communications.
At the customer’s request, the order was delayed several weeks. We then confirmed in writing that the ship date would be July 15, and the order shipped on July 15 as scheduled. Tracking information and the carrier’s phone number were emailed on July 16. When the carrier called to schedule delivery for July 20, the customer requested a third-party delivery costing $996 to receive it sooner. We did not agree to that expense, as we do not guarantee delivery dates.
There was no yelling on our end. We also were never contacted by the customer regarding missing items. When JSI later informed us that she had contacted them, we immediately reached out and offered to file the necessary claim on her behalf. She responded that she was working directly with JSI. We remain happy to assist with any legitimate missing or damaged items if she provides us with the details.
We’re proud that hundreds of verified customer reviews consistently mention the service and support they’ve received from our team, and we’re disappointed that this customer does not feel she had the same experience.

RTA canceled my order based on my…
RTA canceled my order based on my review. I contacted RTA to ask why and they base their decision on a hypothetical scenario. They did however offer to reinstate my order if I deleted my review and payed for the cabinets via a wire transfer or a check. I declined their offer. Let’s be clear RTA states it does not cancel orders based on a review. The bottom line is I posted a review and RTA canceled my order.

My shipment got messed up and I didn’t get my order for over a month, cabinets where beautiful but the fact they kept telling me they should arrive soon and then not get them for over a month.

We do want to clarify that at the time of your order, we reached out to let you know a few items were out of stock and that it would take about 3 weeks to ship out, which you approved. The order did ship within that timeframe. We’re sorry for the additional week delay once it was with the freight carrier—that part is unfortunately outside of our control, but we understand how frustrating it can be.

Don't use this company
Don't use this company. Product is dry and brittle and marks very easily. It comes warped and damaged often too. I did order from this company it's not a mix up. They did cancel my order as they didn't want to honor the 0% financing We were approved for. I did get the exact same cabinets they sell and most all of the rta companies on-line sell from the same manufacturer and same warehouses around the country.

Hi, Scott, all you ordered from us was a sample door on 9/16 and did not receive any cabinets from us, you are mixing us up with another company. Please check your order shipping confirmation email and if its from us it would have came from RTA Wood Cabinets, there are other companies that have similar sounding names.

Written instructions very unclear
Written instructions very unclear, at a new construction build if you do not have internet yet, unable to access videos online as recommended. Do not give instructions on which screws to use where. Smallest size screws still protrude through bottom. Difficult to assemble compared to other manufacturer we have used previously. Received multiple extra drawer fronts not needed.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review, we have very clear assembly videos on each collections page which you should be able to view on a mobile device. The Upton collection comes standard with slab top drawers which we upgrade to all shaker drawers.

You reached out to us yesterday asking for replacement doors that your installer damaged, we did send it in to the manufacturer and we are waiting on a response from them to see if they have those size doors in their parts room. Customer service did try to reach you this morning and we will reach out to you as soon as we get an update from the manufacturer.

Damage to almost every cabinet
Damage to almost every cabinet. Agreed to a substantial discount and only replacement of one cabinet and four drawers. Drawers went to the wrong customer and when we received the correct shipment, all four drawers didn't fit. Paid extra for shaker drawer faces and had to replace the drawer faces ourselves with no template or instructions. Instructions for the cabinets themselves were horrible. Only redeeming quality was when Phil got involved and tried to make things right...

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. There was unfortunately a lot of shipping damage to this order and we gave the customer an option to have it all picked up for a full refund or give a very large credit if they want to keep the cabinets, they chose to keep the cabinets and received a large credit. The shaker drawer fronts for the Luxor is an upgrade and always come as a separate item. We do have assembly videos online which are much better then the copy in the box.
