The cabinets came in a timely fashion. However, some of the provided screws broke, the cabinets had dings or scratches and we did not have instructions or correct instructions for a fair amount of the cabinets themselves. Building them isn't terrible with 2 people but we wasted a day searching the internet for instructions on assembly. Im not sure that we can recommend this route to others.

5 stars for the actual cabinets. They are beautiful and easy to assemble. 3 stars overall because I tried to make an order for over $2500 to get free shipping however I was mixing two different lines of cabinets (one for bathroom vanity, one for closet). After placing the order they told me I could not qualify for the free shipping due to the two cabinet lines shipping from two different places. This was after weeks of researching companies and finally landing on this order so I was very frustrated to have to start all over again and ended up just paying the crazy shipping cost even though their website said it would be free over $2500.

Zak made it awesome! The product is great but your trim supplier made it bad. No returns or exchanges even when the credit difference is in their favor has me now stuck with $1000 of crown moulding I can't use. I would advise my son to look around when his project time comes.

I would give the quality of the cabinets 4 stars. The response time was very good. We were missing several small parts and it took a couple of deliveries to get it right, but in the end I would say it was a positive experience considering the money saved. I would give overall a 3.5-3.8. A problem for us was that the frameless cabinets didn’t have a way to hide outlets underneath the cabinets, therefore we had to cut the expensive quartzite to accommodate. That was extremely disappointing.

I liked the cabinet frame, plywood like sides and nice finish. I bought the cabinets assembled but Two of the doors were installed backwards. That’s why I rated them a 3.

My order was shipped incomplete but customer service was good about shipping the missing items. Luckily I took photos of all the parts (and the partially opened boxes upon delivery). The cabinets are made of solid wood. I ordered black cabinets and was VERY disappointed that they are white cabinets,with only the doors and drawers being black. so the bottom of the wall cabinets are white! They assemble easy enough.

I am satisfied with the design Zack and I agreed on. However, I did ended up with excess doors and filler materials. I paid for 2 glass cabinet doors separately and later discovered on another site there is an option of paying the difference to swap the regular doors with the glass doors. It took longer to assemble the cabinets than suggested and the Lazy Susan and drawer cabinets were a bit more difficult to assemble. I purchased two 9" cabinets with inserts and expected those to be assembled and they weren't. There were also a few minor damages, but I made it work. There are a few things buyers should be aware of. First, delivery is only curbside, 2nd you have to pay return shipping if you choose to return anything and 3rd there is a restocking fee. Also, shop around I did see cheaper prices on other sites after I had already purchased. However, some of them had separate shipping fees while RTA didn't.

Ordering was easy with all of the help that Motty from RTAWoodCabinets.com provided, but the JSI cabinets were pretty low quality. They have almost a dull finish that wasn't that obvious on the sample door. They show every touch and are very hard to keep clean. The cabinet doors swing open past 90 degrees and BANG into adjacent walls and cabinets. Most cabinet lines have a simple fix for this-- plastic little cabinet stops (hinge restrictors) that can be put into the hinges, but not this company-- why not? The instructions were limited. Screws to put cabinets together were not labeled that great either and it was easy to use the wrong one which in turn would cause you to screw too far into a drawer front. I wasn't able to use the tile backsplash I wanted because the cabinets next to the wall needed more room for the door to open which should have been made more clear. Some of the pieces were damaged on arrival, but with time constraints I did not have time to order new pieces. The shelves are thin and only have a thin piece of maple around them. The cabinets also have a center stile that slightly higher priced cabinets do not have, I am kicking myself for sacrificing that. Bottom line, I would spend a bit more and get better quality, more options for sizes, no center stiles, thicker shelves, better hinges with restrictor options, etc. However, if inexpensive and quick is your main concern (like for a flip), then these would work fine.
