Shirking Australian Consumer Law
Purchased from Rove Lab and they have no stock. Expect you to wait 2 months for them to make the product and then continue to cause delays. Their lifetime warranty is actually a limited warranty and they have perpetual 50% off sales year round which is a breach of Australian Consumer Law. A sale implies a genuine, time-limited reduction from a real normal price. When products are never sold at the higher price, the discount is illusory. This breaches section 18 of the Australian Consumer Law for misleading or deceptive conduct, and section 29 for false or misleading representations about price. Rove Lab also advertises a “lifetime warranty” that is, in reality, a limited warranty with exclusions and conditions. This does not align with what a reasonable consumer would understand a lifetime warranty to mean. This raises further concerns under section 18 and section 29 regarding misleading representations about consumer guarantees and warranties.
