Needed my toilet snaked from a clog. They came out quick and affordable. No gimmicks or extra charges. Will keep them on speed dial as I was pleasantly happy with the service.

Having used Roto-Rooter many times over many years, I trusted them to repair a problem with an over-flowing washing machine drain. In the process of fixing the problem, the service man broke a pipe at the joint under a concrete floor, causing water to come up under the floor. After days and days of circular calls, Roto-Rooter refused to send a decision-making manager to our home to examine the problem. Further, an "excavation manager" at the company, sight unseen, referred to our "old and deteriorating" cast iron pipes. I am in possession of the broken pipes, which are not at all deteriorating. Roto-Rooter refuses to correct its mistake at no cost to me. As a result, I am having to sue the company in magistrate court simply to have the problem fixed. I have been met with total obstinance, unreturned e-mail messages and telephone calls, and uninformed conclusions by company representatives. I have spent literally thousands of dollars with this company, but no more. They will never work at my house in the future. The terrible attitude with which I have been met is inexcusable. That I am forced to spend my time taking Roto-Rooter to court over this matter is also inexcusable. The company would rather pay a lawyer several hundred dollars an hour than simply admit its mistake and fix it. This behavior from a company of seemingly good repute is unacceptable and causes me to advise extreme caution to anyone who considers calling it for any kind of in-home plumbing repair. 13 June 2023: Roto-Rooter, as a courtesy, offered to repair my broken pipe at no cost to me. For all, this is an agreeable and welcome conclusion to the matter

I was satisfied with the people who worked on my drain problem , they did well , problem resolved , but beware of the Salesman trying to add to the costs. Ton Jones

Well. I turned on the faucet in my basement sink & heard a gurgling sound in the shower. Not good. I opened the shower curtain and there was black stuff. I called my regular plumber who I trust. He said I needed more professional expertise and suggested Roto-Rooter because they had the required equipment and expertise (i.e., this is what they do all the time). So I called them in DC/MD. Prompt response. They snaked main sewer line thru the toilet & replaced it. They took pics and recommended I descale, etc. Since this happened before and I had an old 1955 house I said yes. The bottom line, it was extremely expensive. In cases like this you are really dependent on the professionalism of the company. All staff were professional and communicated well with me. After several visits and toilet removals, etc., clean up was well done. My only concern was the costs. Because I did not get other estimates. In the time of Covid, no time to procrastinate and have a greasy, disgusting sewer flooded carpeted basement. A 4 rating because I dont know if I paid too much. No way to really tell. So far so good. And I have a documented warranty.
