Our chickens love their new coop! And it was easy to put together and well made.

Crap. They sent me a bunch of different sized panels that don’t fit, I can’t rebox it and send it back. That’s the garden box. The hen house looks like it’s made out of scrap wood. Rough, splintery and hard to seal. A giant waste of money. Also, auto food dispenser gets flooded every time it rains. Not what I expected. Garden box unusable. Door to hen house barely fits.

We feel terrible about your experience, Stacy. I feel badly that we did not hear from you before now. All of our builds go out in weekly batches, we're always surprised to see this sort of feedback since everything is built at the same time in each batch. I will be sure to reach out via email to see what we can do to help. We take quality and customer satisfaction very seriously. Our offer is always to replace parts you are not happy with. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We will use this as an opportunity to get better.

The folks at Roost and Root are always happy to return a phone call, answer an email or question, no matter how trivial. Their customer service is top notch. Will buy from them again.

Love this coop for our girls! It’s sturdy and the ability to walk-in when cleaning is invaluable just for the sake of my back and efficiency. The only reason it’s missing a star is that building it took some real ability, and we felt we had to add a sturdier base to the bottom to keep the sides from straining if the ground shifts or becomes wet. Otherwise, it’s perfect.

Thank you for the review, Erica. Happy to hear you and your girls are happy with their new home. I appreciate your comments on the assembly. If you have some tips on how we might improve that process I would love to hear them. We are always trying to improve. Reach out to us any time at [email protected]! Our company is grateful for your business!

We got the A frame coop, we love it. It’s nice to feel our chickens are secure when we go to bed. We dug down about 4-6 inches and laid an apron of hard cloth. We put 4 inch tall pavers down to be the base of the structure. We filled in the Outside trench with gravel, to whisk the water away from the foundation. Inside the coop we laid down 6 inches of sand. Even when we have heavy rain the coop foundation stays high and dry.

People do seem to love the Loft coop, Marcus. Glad you do as well! I appreciate that you took your time to leave us a review. Enjoy the coop!

We thought our walk-in chicken coop was expensive, but it was worth every penny. All through the assembly, our builder kept commenting on how well-made everything was, and how easily everything fit together. We, as "mere observers", agreed. So far, it has held together really well, and has not leaked during torrential rains. It has not flooded, either, since it is built with drainage in mind. All-in-all, we love our walk-in chicken coop...and so do our hens!
