I would never rent from Roomrs again. The apartment I am living in is infested with mice. The other tenants told me there were problems with mice before I moved in yet Roomrs still rented the room to me instead of fixing the issue first. Despite making three separate reports to Roomrs after seeing three different mice since I moved in, no pest control or extermination has been carried out. The building's super (who is not employed by Roomrs) came once, promised to return and carry out repair works and hasn't been seen since. The support staff are unhelpful and unwilling to resolve issues in an effective or timely manner. Roomrs fails in its obligations as a landlord to keep the property free of pests. I would not recommend renting from Roomrs. It also offers tenants $100 for five-star reviews so be wary of positive reviews.

They try to trick you with the rooms, they tell you that you get one and then they try to give you another that is half the size of the first for the same price without explicitly mentioning it. Also, they change the prices of the rooms from one day to the next (+$200 for example) and when you ask for clarifications they just pretend that it never happened. After all this, I decided not to rent a room from them and I asked for a refund (you have to pay a membership fee to start the application process, and they tell you that it is refundable if things don't work out ). I asked for the refund one month ago and I still haven't received any money and they just keep on telling me that they issued it but when I ask for proof they just stop responding to me. Stay away

Roomrs seems te be like any other website for short term lease but that impression is deceptive. I emailed them couple of times and even set up a videocall to receive more information on the listings they are offering. First, they used to show up late on the calls and/or reschedule them on short notice. Second, during the call you do not get any more than just empty words. There was no time for proper introduction of the company or any explication of the whole process. Third, their staff is responding very late or even ignoring subsequent questions. Overall, I do not recommend Roomrs if you value your time. Try one of the competitors instead!
