No one on this site is real
No one on this site is real. Been on for over a month and not one inquiry. I even dropped my price from $1,200 a month for the room to $400 to test it out and ZERO. Do Not pay for this service... Better yet run!

Such a waste of money. I paid $5 for 3 days and someone ended up cancelling. Other issues include how someone cannot see your profile or contact you in any way if they do not pay for a subscription as well. Even if you already paid. You can send them a message, but it wont show up for them until they pay. So that makes it much harder to find a roommate or sublet. They will also still email you “new roommate matches” as if that is helpful in any way with all those restrictions.

Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Horrible, Fake accounts. I paid my fee, No one replies and when the premium expired, suddenly, you get 20 or 30 potential renters , but now you can't read their email because I need to pay again. PLEASE THEY ARE NOT GOOD.

I joined and paid for a month, and made eight inquiries to different offerings. I did not get a single response. I am not in an area where there are many rooms offered, so that could have been one of the problems, and I am also older than many people looking for a room. Nevertheless, it was disappointing not to have had a single response to any of the inquiries I did make. Apart from my experience, the site did seem usable, and really, if one had a good chance of being successful, their fee is pretty modest. Of course, for me that is a big IF. So, while I would suggest that people try the free option, I could not recommend it as a good way to find a roommate. I had more luck with craigslist, a local newspaper, and roomies.com

Roommate.com is a complete joke and scam. They use fake member names to act as if many people have been successful. A waste of $19.99. Don't waste your money. See all the scam 1 stars.
