Placed an order for a valve for our water heater. This company has sent the wrong product 4 times. We are still waiting for the correct product with Home Depot. Rheem just says there is a problem with their picking system and they are working on it. One month sos far with no hot water. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. PICK THE RIGHT PART WITH HUMAN HANDS AND SEND IT. NOT THAT HARD!

Shafted by Rheem
Rheem is hands down the lousiest, most insufferable company with which I've ever dealt. Their products are junk. Our water heater started leaking from the bottom and gave up the ghost in just over three years. Then, Rheem tried every maneuver in the book to avoid honoring its warranty. Do yourself a favor, and avoid Rheem. If you buy Rheem, you'll get shafted.

Rheem is rubbish
Rheem is rubbish. Bought a new cylinder just over 5 years ago. After 2 years, the thermostat needed replacing. Now it leaks from the bottom and the whole cylinder has to be replaced - just after the warranty expired. Looked on the internet and found that Rheem sneakily made their warranties shorter, obviously to get out of paying for their rubbish products that only last a few years. We pulled out the old cylinder because it was rusting a bit but no leaks and worked fine - the date on it was 1958 - over 60 years old! Should have left it in. Do not by a hot water cylinder from Rheem ever.

Apparently the good old days are gone…
Apparently the good old days are gone when a company like Rheem is building water heaters that start leaking water after 4 years. My previous one leaked after 6 years. No more Rheem for me!

Rheem is an awful product!!
Rheem is an awful product!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!! I've owned my water heater for 4 years and it already went out. They said they would replace the water heater because the part was out of stock but the confirmation email did not state that the supplier would be reimbursed for the replacement water heater, so I paid a plumber thousands of dollars to remove and reinstall my broken water heater just to have COLD running water in my house. I still don't have a working water heater and no resolution in sight. THIS IS THE WORST INVESTMENT I EVER MADE!!!!!

Buyer beware.
This company sells terrible products, has terrible customer service and their warranties are pretty much worthless.

Rheem water heaters have an excellent…
Rheem water heaters have an excellent reputation and are generally considered to be a high-quality, highly rated product. Unfortunately, my experience with their customer service has been extremely disappointing.
Our water heater is still under warranty, but the pilot light has been going out every day, requiring us to relight it repeatedly. When I called Rheem's warranty department, I explained that my husband believed the chamber sensor needed to be replaced because of the symptoms we were experiencing. However, the representative insisted that the gas control valve was the problem.
I was told the replacement valve would be shipped via FedEx and arrive within two days. I was also informed that, although the water heater was under warranty, Rheem covers only the replacement parts—not the labor—so I would be responsible for paying a plumber to install it. I specifically asked what would happen if the recommended part turned out to be incorrect and whether I would have to pay for labor a second time. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened.
After paying to have the valve installed, we discovered it was not the problem. The actual issue was the chamber sensor—the very part I had originally suggested. I called Rheem on Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. and was told the correct part would be shipped by FedEx and arrive by today. When I called to check on the status, I was informed that the part had not even been shipped yet.
While I believe Rheem manufactures a quality product, their warranty support and customer service have been extremely frustrating. Their incorrect diagnosis has cost me additional time and money, and the delays have left us without a reliable supply of hot water. Customer service is just as important to me as product quality, and because of this experience, I will not purchase another Rheem product in the future.
