Feedback for Tm Rev following nearly a year of hosting miners
As a customer of Revolution Mining, I’ve had a generally positive experience with their services, but there are areas where improvements could make a significant difference. After hosting my miners (8x BTC, 1x KAS) with them for nearly a year, I appreciate their efforts to provide reliable hosting, but certain operational and customer service aspects could be enhanced to better meet user expectations. One of my primary suggestions is the implementation of an online dashboard to monitor miners in real-time, complete with a trouble ticket system for tracking issues. This would streamline the process of identifying and resolving problems, offering transparency and control. Currently, the lack of such a tool makes it harder to stay updated on miner performance without reaching out to support, which feels like a missed opportunity for a company catering to tech conscious clients. I also believe that, given the premium price customers pay for new miners, Revolution Mining should offer a no-cost repair or warranty service for at least the first year of ownership. This would demonstrate confidence in new hardware and provide peace of mind for buyers. Additionally, when miners under warranty experience downtime, offering compensatory miners is a fair way to ensure customers aren’t losing revenue due to delays in repairs. These policies would elevate the customer experience and align with industry standards for service. Customer service at Revolution Mining is generally solid when you can get through, with staff being knowledgeable and helpful. However, response times can be inconsistent, sometimes stretching well beyond the stated 1-2 business days. Faster, more reliable communication would greatly improve trust and satisfaction, especially for time-sensitive issues. I appreciate the text and Telegram notifications for updates like power curtailments—they’re convenient and keep me informed. However, relying on these feels fragmented compared to a dedicated app or dashboard where I could review my account details at any time. A centralized platform would be far more user-friendly and align with modern expectations for account management. Another area for improvement is billing. The current end-of-year electricity contract feels outdated. Charging monthly based on actual electricity consumption at stated KWh rates would provide greater transparency and flexibility, allowing customers to better manage costs. Additionally, the $20 monthly support fee per machine feels steep, especially without a corresponding “white glove” service level. Shifting to a premium, high-touch customer service model or eliminating this fee entirely would make the pricing feel more justified. Overall, Revolution Mining offers a reliable hosting service with some standout features, like proactive notifications, but there’s room to grow. By implementing a user-friendly dashboard, refining warranty and repair policies, improving response times, and rethinking billing and support fees, they could elevate their offering to match the premium experience customers expect. I’m hopeful for these changes, as they would make Revolution Mining a top-tier choice in the industry. Thanks for the $$ credit incentive for sharing my feedback—it’s a nice gesture that shows they value customer input.
