Didn't get the lowest rate, particularly now that long term rates are between 2&3%

Hey, in my case the appraisal was just ridiculously low but the three other appraisals I've gotten in my life were the same way. That said, the Reverse Mortgage Funding people and service was excellent and was performed without any criticism from me. Jerry Hanley was informative and supportive thru the whole thing.

Edward Frankel did an absolute fabulous job helping us with our reverse mortgage. Informed us so that we could make an educated decision and worked tirelessly until it was finished. The last week threw us some last minute curveballs and even that didn’t delay the process with Ed’s determined work.

Horrible company to do business with! I won't mention who our loan representative is by name as we know him personally, but this company sucks. We thought he'd have more pull in getting things done, but that wasn't the case. The underwriter is ridiculous. Apparently, he/she is a very dishonest person as he/she wants proof of everything, even after it's right there in black and white. We have a monthly amount deposited from an annuity. They wanted something from our financial advisor to verify the money would continue for at least another three years. He submitted the letter they requested as well as it appearing on our monthly bank statement. That still wasn't good enough proof. They wanted a statement showing what our balance was in the account it comes out of each month. What we were told should be a simple process was much more difficult than obtaining a HELOC or a regular mortgage. Our home appraised at $505,000 and we own it outright. It's also only 10 years old, so not like they had to deal with a home needing repairs or an active mortgage. I told our loan rep we would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!
