ROI will be less than 3 years of the ridiculously overboard yearly maintenance fees and taxes at my former timeshare resort, which started at less than $800 a year, and more than doubled in less than 20 years. I blame mostly myself for falling for the original timeshare sales pitch. Now I can use the same resort when I want to, and for much less than the ball and chain the original sales pitch snookered me into.
