Very disappointing customer service. My spouse paid $597 through ReservationStays for a three-night stay at Hyatt Place Huntsville, and we later found the same room for the same dates on Booking.com for $479—a $118 difference. When I contacted customer service to request a price adjustment or even a goodwill partial refund, they offered no assistance and essentially told me I should have checked prices before booking. I understand that prices can vary, but their response felt dismissive and showed no concern for customer satisfaction. I’m sharing this review to help others avoid paying more than necessary for the same stay. Based on my experience, I would recommend avoiding ReservationStays and comparing prices through the hotel directly and other booking platforms before paying. I would not book through this website again.

Do not use this website. They take your booking and when you arrive at the hotel, you were charged twice with no way to get any of your money back. It is a complete scam and we have had to spend hours trying to make phone calls to get our money back to no avail. We are supposed to be visiting our son in college and spending time with him and yet we’re on the phone trying to get all our money back. Do not use this website

I booked the incorrect date by mistake and tried to immediately fix it. The website does not permit this. After much waiting I spoke to a service rep at Reservation Stays who told me I needed the hotel to email me that I had cancelled in order for ReservationStays to refund me (they would give me a credit). The hotel said Reservation Stays but speak directly to them. This company is TERRIBLE. Do not use them. I also paid for the "cancellation benefit" but it does NOT apply if you booked the wrong date. HORRIBLE.

Booked online for Hutchinson island Stuart Florida but Reservation stays made the reservation at Hutchinson Kansas. I called and emailed them about the mistake but they would not refund my money! Completely fraudulent! Do not use this company!

I am filing this to warn other consumers and to seek a partial refund. On July 13, 2026 I booked a four-night stay (July 20 to 24) at the Avid Hotels Madison-Monona by IHG through ReservationStays, booking number B_56415985. The website presented itself in a way that led me to believe I was booking with the hotel directly, which I was not. My invoice shows a room subtotal of $517.98 and a single line called "Taxes and Fees" of $204.95, for a total of $722.93. That charge is close to 40 percent of the room cost. The actual lodging tax for Monona, Wisconsin is about 13.5 percent, made up of the 5 percent state sales tax, the 0.5 percent Dane County sales tax, and the 8 percent Monona municipal room tax under city ordinance section 63-23. On a $517.98 room the legitimate tax is roughly $70. That means about $135 of the "Taxes and Fees" line is an undisclosed booking or service fee that the company labeled as tax, which is misleading. The reservation was also marked 100 percent non-refundable with no ability to modify. Desired resolution, a refund of the portion of the "Taxes and Fees" charge that exceeds the actual government lodging tax, approximately $135, and clearer separation of taxes from service fees on future invoices so customers can see what they are paying.

If I could give negative a million stars I would. My son (18) was traveling with his wife from my house in Florida to his home in Missouri. They decided to stay over in Atlanta, GA, and did a search for "hotels that people under 21 can book" in the Atlanta area. The results came up with La Quinta Inn in Atlanta, GA. They asked if I would book it because they were short on money and I agreed, and booked it through the link they went to this site. Immediately I realized they might need my card at the hotel. I looked at the hotel's website and it said they did NOT allow reservations for people under 21, so I immediately called the website and asked them to cancel. They said they couldn't, that I would need to call the hotel. I called the hotel, they said they couldn't cancel, I'd have to do it through the website. I went back and forth several times before the hotel finally agreed to cancel the reservation but they said they could not control the website charging my card. The next day, the charge was on my card, just under $100 for a hotel I did not use and a reservation that got canceled. I called the website. They said I needed to contact the hotel to send them an e-mail letting them know they canceled the reservation. I asked if I could do a three-way call with the hotel, they said no, they could have "no contact" with the hotel other than through email. I called the hotel. They said they had "no way" to contact the website, and that they had already sent an e-mail to the booking site through the only method they had, as a reply to a "no reply" email they had from the booking site. At this point I was frustrated and I did raise my voice, and they hung up on me. I called the booking site back and told them what the hotel told me. They said they would have to send me an email with the information, and I'd have to contact the hotel, and the hotel would have to contact them (HOWW????) to let them know they'd canceled the reservation. I told them they should be the ones to arrange all this since I shouldn't have to call back and forth LITERALLY 7 times to get my money back. At this point I'd spent over an hour, half of it on hold, trying to get my money back, and yes, I was irritated to say the least. But I did not curse, and the woman said she didn't "like my tone" and it "wasn't professional" (as if anything that had taken place before this was "professional", and she hung up on me. I have contacted the AG, I don't know who else to contact. But shame on reservationstays.com, and shame on La Quinta Inn in Atlanta, GA for doing business with a company they can't even contact, and shame on Priceline for owning such a crappy business. And I still have NOT received my money back, which I now consider as stolen since the hotel did not charge them.
