ResellerRatingsReviews of resellerratings.com

Misformatted my review, accepted my line-breaks but replaced them inline with html sequences, would not let me edit my review to rectify the mess (the edit link appears to me inoperative). So, users will see a misformatted and therefore somewhat hard-to-read review, all one big wad of text. So be it.

I have edited my review of Opsgear.com several times and I have not yet seen it included with the other reviews. There is no profanity, etc. so the only thing I can conclude is that, since my review is negative and the company is an 'Elite Merchant', it would affect that status. With the number of complaints against this company with the BBB, I don't trust that all these 5/5 ratings are completely honest.

The web site says that user name and email are both acceptable, but email still results in error. The block for user name is covered by the instructions and so can't be completed. The response time for sending password reset is too long.

I am following a particular online shop, Geekbuying. It has a very high score at resellersrating.com as opposed to other review sites. I know Geekbuying. They ask customers to write a review even before shipping or delivery. They hardly have an after sales service. If you get a device defective on delivery, you are own your on. The after sales desk does not reply to your emails and if they do it does not offer any help. They keep lingering but do not offer a solution. Long shipping times and a bad after sales service is the common thread in negative reviews. And there are quite some. Geekbuying even promises coupons for positive reviews. If you added a negative review the after sales desks immediately will contact you to solve your problem if you remove that review. How can an online shop, leaving so many buyers in frustration, have such a high ranking at resellersratings I think resellersratings does not check on phony, deceptive reviews and allows geekbuying to manipulate reviews by misleading consumers. I stopped doing that but I gathered a lot of negative reviews about Geekbuying. Geekbuying has a ongoing issue with a poor customer service and poor shipping times. Should a leading review site like resellersratings not be more clear about what they do to prevent phony reviews? I would appreciate an answer. I am more then convinced Geekbuying does absolutely not deserve the high rating the get at resellersratings

First they require an invoice number and the date of the original order (not something everyone saves). Then, when you post the review, they don't recognize even the most basic forms of punctuation--like curly quotation marks, curly apostrophes and em dashes--so you have to convert your review to plain text and go through it and change all of them. If you don't, when you post the review, it will look so hideous that no one can read it.

I received the request for a review before the scheduled delivery date. Filling in the requested fields in the review was tricky since since for instance once I provided review text and attempted "submit" the site came back with saying I had not provided an overall rating for the vendor in question even though I had already done so. By back arrowing a few times I retrieved the original web page screen showing I had made the rating requested. I copied my text comment into the box and was able to finally submit the review.

1. Was prompted to review reseller I had already rated. (a) No notice that you can only review reseller once, so complete whole thing (b) overwrites previous review. 2. Authentication form is really buggy. (a) feedback prompts overlay text inputs so you have to type blind. (b) both login and create accound sections show at the same time. Confusing and if both are open and you submit it clears entries and you need to re-enter. 3. Feedback form is buggy. Prompted me to show overwrite old review, said to click button to overwrite old one. When clicked it jetisoned new one and showed old one. TERRIBLE WASTE OF TIME!

So I wrote what is not really a horrible review, but an honest one. And Origin is now contesting that I ever bought a computer from them? I have provided Reseller with a copy of the original invoice. That's the reason for this review because apparently Origin is busy contesting poor customer reviews rather than trying to take care of their customers. To recap I bought the most expensive system Origin sold at the time ($6,000) (order number 96) . One of the first they sold. The system was great mostly except I had to redo the system as the set up was inncorrect as it was shipped. That's ok, new company etc. But I had a full blow liquid cooled system which I was upsold to the quick disconnects over the phone. After two years of very moderate use the quick disconnects apparently starting not functioning and the entire liquid system blew up one day leaking everywhere. After calling Origin and getting "great" phone support but nothing further I took it apart and found all the tubing had been poorly cut a extreme angles or was too short on the disconnects. Calling Origin back I was told "too bad" warrenty expired. Sorry but its your problem. Most of the boards were soaked by spray from the fans. I rebuilt it my self with new tubes, pump and disconnects. I also found loose disconnects when I took it apart. Its hard to understand why Origin wouldn't have done the right thing here due to the poor workmanship and I would obviously be very cautious about buying from them because it's whats inside that counts not the lights or fancy color.
