My apartment company does not work with them . They said they would refund the money . They then sent an email saying their policy does not give back refunds . Some lie . I never got to use the company and they kept the money . Scam

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Even when rent reporting cannot be completed, work may still be performed on the account through the verification process, including reviewing the information provided and attempting to verify the rental arrangement with the landlord or property management company.
Because that verification work is part of the service, an account is not automatically eligible for a refund simply because reporting was not completed. Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of the account and our Refund Policy.
We understand this was not the outcome you expected, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

This company is a scam
Paid them to report my rent on my credit report, but had difficulty uploading identity documents. So they kept the money i paid them and said I could not get a refund, but I received nothing. Getting through to anyone is almost impossible and if you do, they don't do anything to help. Do not waste money on this company, they are a scam.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. After reviewing the account, we found that the required identity verification process was not successfully completed, which prevented us from moving forward with reporting your rental history to the credit bureaus.
RentReporters’ service includes the verification and reporting process, which involves reviewing documentation and completing the required eligibility and identity checks before rent history can be reported. Although reporting was not completed, verification work had already been performed on the account.
Refund eligibility is determined according to our Refund Policy and the specific circumstances of each account. In this case, the account did not meet the requirements for a refund. If you have any remaining questions about the account or refund decision, our Customer Support team can review the details with you directly.

Nunca me respondieron.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand your concern regarding the charge and refund request. The $94.95 charge is a one-time setup fee associated with enrolling in RentReporters, not a recurring paid plan. At this time, we’re unable to locate an account associated with the name used for this review. Please email [email protected] with the email address or phone number associated with your account and reference this review so our team can go over the details and work with you to get this sorted out.
Update:
We understand your frustration. At the time of our original response, we could not locate an account using the name associated with this review. After receiving additional information, we located the account and reviewed its history.
The $94.95 charge was the one-time setup fee associated with the enrollment, not a recurring monthly plan. This fee is disclosed on our website and pricing page. Our records do not show an email or cancellation request submitted on the date of the charge. The first documented contact occurred several days later, when our representatives explained how to submit a cancellation request for review.
After reviewing the account history and our refund terms, we determined that the setup fee is not eligible for reimbursement and communicated that decision directly.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Our refund policy requires that a customer’s initial rent history be reported and the updated credit score be posted before a refund can be requested within the applicable 7-day period. Because that process was not completed on this account, the request did not meet the refund requirements outlined in our Terms of Use. If you have any additional questions, our Customer Support team is available by phone or live chat to review the details with you.

I have submitted proof of rental…
Update*****
I appreciate your response, but I have paid subscriptions with equifax, transunion, and Experian. TWO MONTHS ARE SHOWONG, not two years
I have submitted proof of rental payments for an entire two year period of time, and they still have only reported two payments and to only two of the three credit bureaus. I have proven rent being paid multiple ways, including my landlord confirming all 24 payments being on time.
They website and app offer zero help, and the phone number works for a 3 hour period Monday - Friday, and I am unavailable those times
Very frustrating

***Update***
Thank you for the update. We understand your frustration and appreciate the chance to clarify. We have now uploaded copies of the credit reports to your dashboard that show the full 24 months of reporting currently reflected with the two bureaus that have processed the tradeline. We encourage you to review those reports directly, as they provide the most accurate view of how the tradeline is being displayed. Regarding Experian, that bureau can take longer to update, and we generally recommend allowing up to 45 days for the reporting to appear there. We understand how important this is and appreciate you bringing your concerns forward.
-The RentReporters Team
Hello Jesse,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re sorry for the frustration this has caused. After reviewing the reporting, we can confirm that the past 24 months have been reported as current with the two bureaus that have already processed the tradeline. For the most accurate view, we recommend reviewing your full credit report directly through the credit bureau, as third-party displays may summarize tradeline details differently. As for bureau not currently reporting, processing can take a little longer, and we generally recommend allowing up to 45 days for the reporting to appear. We appreciate your feedback and understand how important it is for this information to display clearly and accurately.
Best,

Cheap service.
I reported that my lease started 12/2023. Mark only reported 2025. And did not report 2024. I paid the money for this to be added to my report and now I only have 1 year of actual rent reported. Not very user friendly. Hard to understand due to language barrier. Not get the accurate information. I was not even given any information about additional charges.

Hello Jeremiah,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re sorry for the frustration and confusion you experienced. After reviewing your feedback, we recognize there was a miscommunication on our side, and our team should have better understood that you wanted your lease start date updated before your rental history was reported. We understand how disappointing it is to expect your full payment history to be reflected and see only part of it reported. We also regret that the process felt unclear, including your concerns about communication and additional charges. This is something we can correct, and our team will be reaching out directly to walk you through the next steps. We value every customer experience and are committed to making sure the reporting is accurate and the support is clear, helpful, and responsive.
Sincerely,
RentReporters

Rent Reporters, you are not a customer, you are a victim.
On March 29, 2026, at approximately 9:10 a.m., I initiated a payment of $274.95 to Rent Reporters to secure annual credit reporting services. This payment was to facilitate expedited reporting within a 3-5-day period and to address two previous rental accounts. My investigation into the implications of this service revealed that my prior rental properties were classified as commercial, specifically that both apartments, including one at Studio 6, were categorized as commercial properties. This classification came as a surprise to me, particularly as it was not disclosed on the Rent Reporters website.
Given my status as a permanently disabled individual living on a limited income, enhancing my credit profile is essential. Shortly after making the payment, I reached out to Rent Reporters via their application and followed up with an email detailing my situation and requesting a refund. The next day, I called their customer service and spoke with an agent, who informed me that the call was being recorded. During this conversation, I reiterated my refund request because their service is not applicable to my situation. The agent indicated that because I had provided my unit number, a refund was possible, but it would be processed only after a 7-day reporting period.
Subsequently, I sent two additional emails requesting the refund, but received no response. This lack of communication raises concerns regarding Rent Reporters' corporate governance standards. They were made aware of the specific circumstances leading to my refund request almost immediately, but chose not to fulfill it. This scenario reflects several issues, including a lack of transparency, inadequate disclosures, and potentially deceptive business practices.
The company's conduct raises questions about unjust enrichment, failure of consideration, violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and negligent misrepresentation. By accepting payment for a service that was ultimately unsuitable for my context, and then delaying the refund despite immediate notification of these complications, Rent Reporters exhibits a troubling approach to customer relations. This is compounded by the backgrounds of their leadership—John Simpson, Heather Smith, and Mark DaBell—who come from reputable organizations such as Deloitte, suggesting a disconnect between their corporate ethical practices and the standard of accountability expected of their leadership.
In summary, my experience with Rent Reporters has been disappointing. Their treatment of my case reflects a broader issue of corporate insensitivity towards consumers, particularly those who may already feel marginalized in financial contexts. Corporate governance, ethical and principled governance, and valuing those who choose you over a myriad of other companies, is not going to be offered at Rent Reporters. I rarely review, but when I do, it is because I want others to be informed. For those considering using this company, do not. For those who have experienced similar mistreatment, come together to fight back by responding to those, like me, who are not going to be a victim.

Hello Jason,
We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. After reviewing your account, we found that your property type did not prevent your account from being eligible for our service. It appears some incorrect information may have been shared during an early call with our team, and we regret that confusion.
We have since attempted to reach you by both phone and email to provide an update and to help resolve the matter, but we have not yet been able to connect. At this time, we are actively working on the items affecting why your account has not yet been reported, though there are still pending steps that must be completed first before reporting can move forward.
We understand how frustrating this situation has been, especially after your expectations were not met. Our goal is always to be transparent and helpful, and we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly so we can review the remaining items and work toward a resolution. Please reach out to our support team so we can connect with you directly.
Sincerely,
Rent Reporters

Warning: Paid RentReporters for Credit Reporting — 6 Months Later Still Nothing.
Title: Paid for service — months later nothing reported and no refund
I strongly advise anyone considering RentReporters to think twice before giving them your money.
In September 2025, I paid RentReporters to have two rental accounts reported to the credit bureaus. This service is marketed as a way to help build credit by reporting your rent history.
It is now March 2026 — over 6 months later — and absolutely nothing has been reported to my credit.
What makes this worse is the lack of accountability:
• No reporting to the credit bureaus
• No refund issued
• Extremely difficult to reach anyone for help
• Complaints filed with no resolution
I have documentation, receipts, and screenshots showing the payments were made and the service was never delivered.
A company should not be taking people’s money for credit reporting services and then leaving customers in the dark for half a year with no updates and no refund.
If you are trying to build your credit, be very careful with this company. My experience has been frustrating, time-consuming, and a complete waste of money.
Until RentReporters fixes this issue or refunds customers for services not delivered, I cannot recommend them to anyone.
