The branch workers tell you one thing, you call the hotline and they tell you you have to go get your account unlocked at the branch (after waiting for 2 hours, second time calling). All this and they cant even give me a reason for locking my account in the first place, even after "verifying" my identity twice over the phone, and the visit to the bank in person, but nooooo apparently that isnt good enough. This isnt the first time its happened. If you want a banking service you can trust, GO ELSEWHERE OR IT WILL BE NOTHING BUT HEADACHES

If I go to a branch I usually get very good service. However, If you have an issue away from a branch or can't "do it yourself on line" and try to call the customer servive number, expect an absurd wait time, transferrs, entering same info more than once, the telling the same info to customer service rep. Once you get the correct rep on the phone thay are nice and helpful, but your so discusted by that time it does not make up for it.

Went in with multiple deposits
Went in with multiple deposits. I was the only one there. A second teller ask my teller to give her a couple deposits to help her. My teller said no, in case another customer comes in. No other customer came in and I waited over 30 minutes for her to do my deposits while the other teller did nothing.

DO NOT BANK WITH REGIONS
I opened my account a month ago and presented my drivers license as it is required. I get an email a few days later that has typos and incomplete sentences saying they need a copy of my license or they will close the account but I disregarded it thinking it was a scam. A few days later I get a letter saying the same thing so I went to the bank and let them take another copy. Then they closed my account on pay day without warning because “they needed a copy of my license.” 🙃 this is my second major issue with this bank. Please do NOT bank here.

Customer Support is Abysmal
I like Regions. My problem with Regions is when you need phone help. Regions call-in customer service is abysmal. 30 minute wait time at least. "Message Us" is useless. You expect to be taken to a place you can submit a request for help via email. No, just a confusing mix of jumbled selections. I have a problem with Regions sending duplicate transactions to my Quicken program. I've talked with Quicken and they have stated verbally and online that it is a problem acknowledged by Regions. I have sent Regions all my Quicken logs and have a Regions Support Team Ticket Number. Over a month of picking through duplicate entries and Regions is still lost. Time to get some real programmers and fix this mess. I am seriously considering switching banks just to get around this daily check each entry.

Corrupt Practice: Closed Account Once Incentive Bonus Requirements Were Achieved
On November 12, 2021, I called Regions Bank to open a LifeGreen checking
account over the phone, During this process, the representative I worked with
requested all required information from me in order to process the opening of the
account. While I was on the phone with her, I was emailed documents to sign and
submit back to Regions in order to complete the process of opening this account
This request from Regions was fulfilled by me while I was on the phone, allowing
me to have a new account with this institution. I also received a confirmation email that I electronically accepted and signed the documents that were submitted to me. At the time of opening my account on the phone with the representative I
spoke to, I deposited more than the minimum of funds required to open the account.
In addition, on November 12, 2021, I was
told that I may retrieve a copy of the signed documents by clicking a provided link
in the email within the next 60 calendar days, or I could ask for a copy by visiting
the nearest Regions branch. With today being 41 days since that notice, those files are no longer accessible and a screen tells me the files were deleted and cannot be viewed.
I was persuaded to open this account upon receiving a bonus incentive. Regions offered me a $400 bonus to open a new account. To qualify, I had to first register at the provided link using a provided personal code.
The representative I spoke to on the phone on 11/12 confirmed that I did that. In addition. I had to open a person LifeGreen checking account by 11/12 and enroll I'm Online Banking within 30 days of account opening. (l enrolled in Online banking on 11/22). The third requirement was yo use the Regions Visa CheckCatd to make 10 or more
purchases within 30 days of account opening. On 12/31, I received a final statement from Regions, which showed that 10 transactions were made between 11/24 and 12/13. The account was then closed by Regions on 12/14.
After outlining all of that, I would like to explain the wrongdoing that
has occurred. On Dec. 16 when attempted to log into my Online Banking Account,
I was locked out. Even with resetting my credentials I was unable to get in. I called
the institution to request help, but during this process, the customer service rep I
spoke to told me that my account had been closed, When I asked why, I was told
that I did not provide requested information in the documents required to open my
account. On Nov. 12, I received an email that stated all my information was received and complete. Also, just to talk to someone about my account lockout issue, I was required to correctly answer several questions in order to verify my identity, so I cannot possibly know what else may have been needed.
When I suggested that Regions closed my account once I fulfilled the steps to receive the $400 bonus, I was told that I need to speak to my local branch. Before I did that, I
asked when and how I was notified for any additional information. An answer could
not be provided to me.
So after talking to the customer service rep. I called my local branch on Dec. 15 and asked about my issue. They also could not provide me an answer as to why the account had been closed, but asked if they could have a day to find out. I agreed to that and when she got back to me on Dec. 16, they told me she was still waiting for information.
When I talked to my branch on Dec. 17, they told me the account was closed due to requested documents not being completed and said they were mailed. I explained that the only items mailed to me from Regions was my Regions Visa CheckCard and a
welcome letter from my local branch that was postmarked on Dec. 6. Other than
those two items, I did not receive any other documents from Regions via U.S. mail, email, text or in any other form.
Struggling for an explanation, my branch told me that she could submit a complaint and a
request to reopen the account. She followed up with me and told me that reopening the account would not be possible. I explained to them that there are several complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau and other complaint listings by other individuals that bank with Regions that had their accounts closed after fulfilling the
steps required to earn a bonus after opening a new account. This is obviously a scam and a routine corrupt practice by this financial institution.
My branch offered to see if Regions could open a new account and see if the bonus I initially opened an account with could be honored. I told her I would be interested in the response to that, but have not heard anything.
At this point, I do not trust that they would not put me through this again. As of this writing, I received a account closure notice and a cashiers check for the amount that was in my account at the time of its closure.
If Regions is reading this, I would like the $400 bonus I qualified for paid to me.
