I pulled into the regions line right as it was turning 12. The clerk at the window was making small talk to the person in the line beside me for several minutes, and then the car drove off and she shut the shutter to her window, when she knew that I was sitting there. At this point it was after the 12 closing time (the person was already finished with her banking transaction when I arrived and they were laughing and chatting). I understand that by then it was after closing time, but at least have the decency to acknowledge a customer that you see sitting there, and apologize if you can’t help them at that time. Very rude. I’ve been thinking of changing banks for awhile and I most likely will now. It really shouldn’t be so hard to be a nice person, yet so many people these days seem to struggle with it.

I had a terrible experience trying to secure a construction loan for a home. Among the many things that went wrong, here are a few 1. The bank required a signed and executed contract between the builder and borrower to start the loan process. Then when it comes to contract review, they ask the builder to make changes to the contract. The builder has no reason to do so as they already have a signed contract from me. I could potentially be sued by the builder if i cannot proceed with construction. 2. They never communicate with the borrower and builder, but rather to each one separately, keeping the other in the dark. 3. They even wanted builders personal (yes personal, not business) credit score I was fortunate that my builder agreed to all this 4. When it was time to sign the final closing disclosure, I get to know from the attorney (not bank) that there are some documents in there that needs to be signed by the builder. I to date do not know what those documents are about. The builder disagreed to sign those and thereby our loan process had to be terminated. 5. Bank returns the very next day with the preposition that they would waive the builder signature. At this point, we lose faith in the bank and decide to totally decline the loan. Now I have to pay the attorney for title abstraction, service which is necessary only if I was getting a loan. I have requested the bank to pay for those , but never heard back

I wish that I could give zero stars. I called and had my spend limit raised (supposedly permanently), as I work in IT and it is also my hobby and my spend can be over the "normal" limit. ONCE AGAIN, I tried to make a purchase only to be told that I my account wasn't accepting the charge. Money in the bank, but I can't touch it. ONCE AGAIN REGIONS ruins my weekend due to their "FRAUD PREVENTION" policy, but in REALITY it is simply to keep MY MONEY in THIER HANDS. We SHOULD be allowed to sue banks for this.

The worst banking experience I've had in my lifetime. Continuous errors on their part followed by incompetent people and horrible customer service!

A loan representative from Regions called me and for verification asked for my social security number. Obviously, I later found out this is not allowed for outbound calls. The representative became very angry when I refused to provide this info. I insisted on a different loan officer and the application ended up taking so long that it would have to be rekeyed ..aka hit my credit again. Don't waste your time on this bank!

Honestly 1 star doesn't even do this bank justice, I've had the misfortune of banking with them for some time now and they have consistently shown they do not carw about their customers in fact they hold deep seated contempt for them. I've never known a bank that is so ready to cease relations with their customer that they put a "soft" close on their account if they don't have money in the account between paychecks and I don't mean keep the account empty, I mean there is a clear pattern of activity with a period of lacking funds between paychecks, so the fact that I live paycheck to paycheck means regions decides I'm closing my account, they never asked me they just unilaterally decided I wanted my account closed. Their atms state any deposit made after a certain time will clear the following business day, what they don't state is that to them that means a check deposited Saturday night will clear Wednesday afternoon (this has happened several times) I didn't realize that Monday and Tuesday aren't in fact business days. The real topper on the cake though has to be the fact that over the last two and a half weeks their "fraud prevention department" has suspended card 7 times, all of which after I jump through every hoop they provide to verify I am the account holder and the charges are legitimate. I've spoken with bank reps as well as the slack jawed illiterate working for the fraud prevention department and there is nothing that can be done to stop the unjustified and unwarranted freezing of my funds, ive asked them to put a note in my file that the charges I've already verified to be legitimate should not be flagged in any way going forward only for them to freeze my account a second time 2 hours later, the bank reps can't do anything to stop the weapon owed incompetence besides attempt to make the same request I've already made which they roundly ignored, the first time when I called in they removed the block on the account and everything since then they claim only a bank rep in the physical bank can remove the block that they themselves put on my account which should've been the first clue that the lunatics are running the asylum but now not only do I have to go out of my way to go to the bank to fix the problem they created I've had to have entirely new cards issued (yes plural) as the suspension is that binding so the card I picked up literally this morning is now a useless piece of plastic that I have to replace because I made a transaction through the Google play store (that I have a long history of making) and they no longer even notify me of the "suspected fraud" before suspending the card. If there is anyone out there reading these reviews as a prospective client I urge you to find a bank that will let you make any decisions with your finances and steer far away from this zoo of a "company" I only wish they had a way for me to review them on their website, but in a rare stroke of genius for these mentally diminished clowns they don't offer the possibility of any unfortunate souls in their clutches warning the world of their callous indifference and insanity, so I will be posting this review on every site I can so I can attempt to save others from making the ultimate mistake of trusting them with their funds.

Recent business involved transfer into/ then out of my checking account. 4 different answers re availability of funds. Teller who wired money was the most hateful person I ever dealt with. I was ready to cry when I left. This is regarding the Paxton FL branch and the first teller on right as you enter. Used to love going in there, now will be looking for new place to do banking business.
