Wouldn't be able to be as active without having the procedure. I'm pain free doing weight workouts, walking distances, and doing heavy work on our property.

Regenexx pioneered interventional orthopedics, using the body’s own cells and natural healing abilities to treat orthopedic conditions and injuries non-surgically. Our treatment protocols are grounded in ongoing research and continuously refined through our dedicated R&D team, specialized laboratory, and patient-reported outcomes tracking data.Regenexx has developed the most advanced processing and treatment techniques used today and has published a significant share of the worldwide research on the use of bone marrow concentrate for orthopedic conditions.Only a select group of highly-skilled musculoskeletal doctors are licensed to perform regenerative orthopedic procedures using Regenexx treatment protocols and injectates. The doctors in our licensed physician network are independent medical providers and are not employees or agents of Regenexx. They have chosen to license Regenexx technology and treatment protocols for use in their regenerative orthopedic practice.Regenexx is dedicated to advancing orthobiologic treatments, research, and technology to support patients seeking alternatives to surgery or pain medications.Regenexx maintains an active patient registry that tracks patients’ progress and side effects, post-procedure using Regenexx injectates. Our outcomes database contains records on tens of thousands of procedures performed by physicians in the licensed Regenexx network. Those outcomes are transparently published and updated monthly at https://regenexx.com/results/Like all medical procedures, regenerative procedures using Regenexx injectates have a success and failure rate. Regennex worked very well for me. I needed two treatments but now I can do everything except high impact activities like running and jumping. Just last week I played 18 holes of golf walking and had no knee issues. Dr. Pitts is the best!

I see a big improvement in my knees, I can walk more & do much more, & problems I have now are from my fractured back---making some things more difficult to do...not from my knees!

I was able to consult with the same doctor who treated me and has followed me in studies since my treatments. He was very professional, experienced in the treatment, and made me feel safe and cared for. I had my left knee, which was bone on bone, treated May 2014 with bone augmentation, stem cells and PRP (plasma rich platlets). Also liposuction tissue provided support for my torn meniscus. My right wrist was injected with stem cells and PRP totally relieving pain from a torn ligament and carpal tunnel symptoms. My back was injected with PRP to relieve lower back pain from loose ligaments. All done with no incisions under fluroscopy using my own stem cells and PRP. Before any of that was done I had MRIs, ultrasounds and a thorough mechanical physical therapy evaluation. In February 2015 I had another injection of stem cells and PRP to my left and right knees. I am very satisfied and am able to walk, swim, ride my bike, and take care of grandchildren very actively.

Dr. Cohen did a through exam & explaination of my knees during the consultation, giving me confidence to proceed. The procedure went very well. Everyone was friendly, helpful, & supportive. The results have been great. So glad I did this rather than knee replacements.

This review is for PRP, not stem cell because it was good enough for me. I heard about Regenexx in 2014 from a neighbor. I was having issues with my spine from the top of my neck down to and including SI Joints/hips. I had trouble turning my head past 45 degrees without it locking up, my middle back was killing me and my knees hurt just stepping off a curb much less walking down stairs. My legs/hips would be stiff after getting out of the car after a long drive. Cervical MRI showed 2 moderately and 2 mildly bulged discs in my cervical alone. So we started there with PRP but Dr. Handleman also went lower to the bottom of my shoulder blades. After 3 procedures, I did a thoracic MRI and the problems it showed were below the upper the thoracic we did. Worst was a severely bulged disc in the middle back at T9-T10. So we did 4 procedures on that along with some lumbar and SI Joints. After the 4 procedures I re did the Thoracic MRI and the bone spurs are still there but no more bulged disc. Looks like all the other discs. I'm sure it healed the ligaments too because after 2.5 years the bone spurs were no worse, so the instability must be pretty much gone. Less than two weeks ago we did a 4th procedure on the upper neck/2nd on SI Joints and I'm feeling great. I can assure you if I re did my cervical MRI in a month it wouldn't find a bulged disc. Also did 1 procedure a while back for miniscus/cartilage and quad tendons both knees and they feel much better. As far as instant results; before my knee procedure I got acute tendonitis in my right shin tendon. You could feel and hear the creeking as I raised my right toe up and down. I could barely walk. When I came in to do my knees Dr Handleman also put some PRP into that tendon. Next day creeking gone, I'm walking no problem, and it never came back. I'm sure that problem was a result of pinched nerves in my back/SI Joints. For some perspective....I'm 44 years old and consider myself to be in excellent shape. I've never had orthopedic surgery. I've never smoked. I don't take pharmaceuticals, prescription or over the counter. I weight train and do situps at the gym as well as jog. Even when I was having my issues, I pushed through it. I try to eat healthy, fruit and raw vegetables every day, raw nuts, low carbs, a lot of water. I've been taking high quality supplements since I was in my early 20's and have been adding as time went on from Puritan's Pride and Life Extension. Why I mention this is because all this plays a huge role in your results/outcome. I've had incredible results but that doesn't mean everyone should expect the same. That being said, you owe it to yourself to try this before surgery, you got nothing to lose. These procedures absolutely work and have been worth every penny and more. This is true health care and the future of orthopedics. It's just a shame that insurance companies are so stubborn about covering it. Eventually they will, but I didn't have that kind of time. The earlier you catch a problem the easier it is to fix it.....wait for a severely bulged disc to rupture and you'll be lucky if you heal it with stem cell.

Excellent staff, facility and procedures. 2 plus years after stem cells in both knees and in very pleased with the results. Only hiccup was when trying to utilize a health savings account. Three try's to get it submitted. Dr Jacksons is the best

I was rated a fair to poor candidate initially. My physician was very upfront about this. That being said I proceeded with the stem cell treatment and I am ever so glad that I did. My only alternative was a total knee replacement. This based on my evaluation by a sports medicine specialist and team physician for the Dallas Cowboys. He stated that I should get a total knee replacement when I was "ready." At that time I could not ski more than an hour before the pain sent me to the bar! I am now able to ski for a few hours and walk 18 holes of golf. Up and down stairs is not a problem at all. I am 20 months out from the procedure and if anything over time I have improved to the point I am 80% better than I was. I do use turmeric daily and Arnica gel from time to time. Knee replacement is the furthest thing from my mind. I went to the Broomfield office and my physician there was Dr. John Pitts. As far as I am concerned he is an absolute rock star! Very personable and technically he has outstanding skills. Minimal discomfort with the procedure. I requested him based on recommendation from a university professor who develops titanium knee implants! If I had it to do over again there is nothing I would change!
