It may be that my knees were just too shot for stem cells to regenerate enough stem cells to reverse my situation. I think the initial check-up with the doctor needs to be very, very honest about the odds of getting relief, when you have severe osteo-arthritis of the knees. I spent a lot of money for Regenexx, including going to the Grand Caymans from the West Coast, three different times. The first time, for the bone marrow aspiration, the second time for the injections in each knee, and a year later for another boaster of stem cells that had been frozen. I didn't get much relief, even though both times I wore my Don Joy knee braces faithfully after the procedures, so that was super disappointing. After consulting 3 different orthopedic surgeons, I decided to go for a total knee replacement, and I'm one month post-op and already feel more relief from pain, and I'm still going to PT. I wish the stem cell treatment had worked for me, but I think my knees were too worn out after decades of ski racing, and marathon running. I'd urge Regenexx to be blatantly honest with a candidate, if they think it probably won't work. In my case, the 3 surgeons I consulted all agreed that my bone on bone situation was just too much for stem cells to be able to regenerate enough to give me relief.

the process reinjured my SI and after long and dedicated/hopefull recovery with lots of PT I am in the same condition I was prior to the treatment. My back has gone out four times, my peliv remains hypermoble, and I am in constant pain.

I have little to no improvement in my left - most critical - knee. I still cannot jog, it "clicks" uncomfortably with movement. I believe my expectations of returning to my daily routine of jogging were extreme and for the cost of the procedure and unacceptable pain (as an Anesthesiologist, I can state that better pain management would be easy and advised). I cannot recommend this procedure.

I really came to Regenexx for my left knee and I am not able to resume my activity because there is a lot of fluid in the knee, even after a year. what worked was the platelets that were injected in the shoulder to cure tendentious - that worked.

My Dr. screwed up significantly last year causing me great harm and has never apologized to my face. Furthermore, he has failed to offer the level of care I expect from Centeno Schultz ever since. He has failed to request a followup after my most recent procedure, and failed to answer a simple email question after my last procedure. His manner is distant and impatient, seeming to be annoyed with me and yet I have been nothing but patient, cooperative and respectful.

If they really wanted to see if it works they would do MRIs before and after. It does help some but, they need to get more serious

I've had Three treatments each one lasts about a year. I'm having the same symptoms as before. I am leery of another $1600 for a treatment that has lasted a little less than a year. Scheduled a appointment with a spine and neck specialist. Last resort. Pain level 6.
