I purchased a pair of king toe that ran me $375 and within 10 months the soles of both shoe were separating from​ the shoe, and all I do is general maintenance. No construction what's so ever. So I looked online if I had a warranty and found out that there was a 12 month warranty, but when I went back to the Nimitz branch of Red Wings the assistant manager said it was normal wear and tear. I asked him if it's normal for the soles of the shoe to separate from the shoe in just 10 months from just walking? He stated normal wear and tear! Very rudely, so I asked what is this 12 month warranty and he stated only on manufacturer defect. Bottom line if that's not a manufacturer defect, then what is? He then told me to leave and will call the cops and trespass me if I didn't. Gave me his managers business card which I tried calling with no answer. So not wanting to get arrested over a pair of shoes I left. Nimitz Red wing is the worst shoe store experience I've ever had in my entire life!

The classic if I could give them a zero I would. Red Wing is not what it used to be I have worn their boots for over 20 years and now they're just a joke. To anyone that reads this do yourself a favor and stay clear of Red Wing boots. I used to buy two pairs of boots at a time and rotate to limit where on my boots over the past 5 years now I've gone through three separate pairs of boots that failed within the first week and then sent them back multiple times to be repaired. I just bought one pair of boots for $140 from wolverine in the quality is night and day stop wasting your money on overpriced Red wings by yourself a pair of wolverines they're a great boot for literally half the price and their us made still they didn't sell out like Red Wing. Red Wing even said they were going to send me another pair of boots didn't even do their homework sent them to a wrong address and then left me completely hanging. They lied about a couple things and we're just completely unprofessional. Red Wing boots are trash!

I’m so disappointed in the service I received from your company for the following reason; Order some lovely boots, which arrived on time, the day before I was going away for a weekend away. I couldn’t believe only had one shoe lace. This is not my complaint, mistakes happen. It’s the way this complaint was handled by you. Firstly, the person on the e-mail didn’t apologise at all to me, just stated some were being sent in the post, I replied, It wouldn’t get here in time for my weekend away, again no apology. Secondly, while I was away, I text my wife, to see if the lace had arrival, as I was hoping for something extra (socks, boot Polish etc) got nothing, just the missing lace (not a pair) and again no apology !!! Terrible service, love this make, when I buy some more Red Wing products, I will ensure I don’t get anything from you direct anymore.

Worst purchase of my life. Why pay $300 on shoes when brands like Keen offer a way better boot that lasts far longer for half the price? red wings leather sucks so bad. It’s far from waterproof. My feet were soaked and I even got athletes foot from them. I want my money back

I have been a loyal customer to Red Wing Shoes for over 40 years. Never had a problem with any of there products. Until now! I bought a pair of hunting boots quite a few years, that I wear maybe twice a year. Very comfortable to say the least. I had them on recently doing some yard work and noticed that the sole was separating from the upper. I have always taken very good care of them. The upper, the inner, and the sole all show very little signs of wear. The problem is not a matter of these shoes being wore out. The clerk at the store agreed. Even a cheap pair of shoes would not do this. They are out of warranty, but the name itself should stand for something. I did not expect a free replacement, but given the situation they should have at least sold me a new pair at cost. A free repair was offered, but i don't believe they can be fixed. Needless to say I will no longer be a customer to Red Wing Shoes.

They don’t stay behind their shoes quality. Warrantied my first pair and with same issue went back with second pair and they told me it is my faul. Laughed in my face. Not worth my money spent! Dakota makes much better boots then Red Wings and not twice/three times more expensive. Sad experience of apparently good shoes. Not anymore!

Chets Red Wing boots and shoes are a joke in the twin cities the owners kids are intitald moron's that lacks total basic common sense and to resole a brand new boots bought at Red Wing takes 3-4 months. If anyone wants really good boots Whites sale of 20-25 off is the way to go and Nick's boots are better if you are interested in the best work boots. Chets boots suck plane and easy
